but I keep looking at the fact that we are losing over 20 seniors

We have 24 seniors leaving, 4 of which are scout team players, 3 that only lettered one year with no significant playing time. That leaves us with 17 contributing seniors that are leaving. As stated before though, we have 85 true/redshirt Freshmen and Sophomores. We also only have 15 Juniors on the roster (4 listed as scout team). The best "recruit" that Miles can get this year is to keep Tolliver from going pro.

I'd say the next few years look pretty good.

Our O-line can't block this year and our D-line can't rush the passer. What immediate changes can be made to change the line to make them that much better? Few freshman or even RS freshman make an impact on the line.

Michigan never released him so that redshirt year was him sitting out a year to regain the right to go to arkansas but it also counted against him as far as eligibility

damn, you can do better than that.

les doesn't fire crowton, and lsu looses every game they play for the next two years. yep, they go 0-12, then 0-12.

how come you haven't gone as negative as you have been all year. you can do better. how can you possibly question your incredible forecasting skills?

0-24!! do it you ranturd. all you ranturds, keep it up. go as freakin' negative as you want.
don't believe in the past as any reason for a positive outcome.

your tender belief systems are too valuable to waste. this negative streak has to continue. no matter how wrong yall have been, the posi=tigers have to be negated. do your best, even tho your parental nurturing continues to validate your low self esteem... go ahead, keep drinking, you can wait for the judge to send you to aa.

Nobody would be. That's a lot of what ifs. None of that is going to happen. Who will our 5 losses be to? Fans would turn on any coach if those scenarios came to be.

yea, we lose 5 games next year i will certainly feel different about things. the thing some people just don't seem to be able to grasp is that after the NC, we lost our friggin' qb and we had noone but freshmen. then, the OL attrition really got us this year with the said learning qb. we will have some new players next year, but we should be a lot better club. our D will be as good or better than this year and our O should be much better. coaching makes a difference, but the players you have make a huge difference too. just because a guy dominated in high school doesn't make him dominate in college. i don't see us losing 5 games next year. if we do not improve, i will feel as good as i do now. i saw improvement this year and i think miles deserves better treatment than he's getting. i most definately do not believe the program is in decline. i could be wrong but let's let the future play out. if miles doesn't get us back to atlanta in 1-2 years, we need a change.

If Miles goes and Crowton stays, would you support the new coach?

Wins and losses is the not the question when talking about CLM.

What the debate should be is "Why do we look so confused?" and "Why do we seem to under-utiliize our talent soooo often?"

And for the pro-CLM's it is "Are you content with 8-10 wins every year when we have the potential to compete for titles?"

Damn, but we haven't lived up to our "potential" very much since we have been in the SEC like 80 yrs with 10 SEC title and 3 national titles.

You are right bout one thing, "wins and losses" are not in question since Miles has the best winning percentage in school history.

In this decade, do you know how many 10 win seasons we have had and who gave us most of them?

"If we lose five games next year."

If your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle.

I swear, you dumbasses who come out of the woodwork and start one lame Miles thread after another.

You were doing this board a favor with only 20 posts in two years.

Please keep it that way.

How many "if's" was that? I lost count.

Crowton must be suffering from dementia because he has gotten alot dumber since 2007.

I think he has had to deal with a line that isn't that great, no good blocking TE, No solid FB and QB that requires to date the offense to be limited big time.

When has Crowton failed as an OC? This year? I will give you that. But based on the man's record I would say it is more talent or personnel driven than it is the scheme or play calling. I am amazed we won 9 games with an offense that pitiful.

Offense was weak this year. I put most of the blame on Crowton. Underutilization of Trindon and Shepard seems unforgivable to me, along with the weakness along the offensive line. These two deficiencies fall on Crowtons shoulders I believe. I really think Miles came to LSU not wanting a huge burden on his shoulders as far as coordinating goes, otherwise he would have been calling plays for the past few years and who knows where the offense would be? Nobody really... All that said, I think it's Crowton that is the weakness that needs to be corrected and not Miles.

Maybe, but one of the biggest reasons the dude's considering going pro is due to the NFL's rookie "salary cap/structure, starting in 2011.

LSU looks like it has the possibility at 4 seasons out of 5 with 10 wins, 4 top ten finishes, 1-1 in the SECCG, and a BCS title. Yall act as if there aren't any other elite teams in the conference or even the nation. Not every one can be in the top 10 and not everyone can win a NC every year.

Since Crowton has a track record that shows he can coach I think he should be given another year. The groomed QB has to be kicked off one and Lee was a bust. This year studs veterans underachieved on the line and the young guys just didn't have it. The OL depth should be coming back and Jefferson looks like he is definitely growing into a solid QB.

ok pro-les guys have a question for you:

Say Crowton is not fired this year (very possible), we lose 5 games next year (very possible), and our offense is not ranked in the top 50 in the country (very possible), therefore proving that our coaches are still having a problem developing top notch offensive talent and hurting recruiting. Are you still 100% behind Miles being the coach for 2011?
If so, please give us a legitimate reason why!

First, I'm pro-LSU guy, and whoever's head coach, OC or any other coach, I'll support them and will rip 'em a new one if that's warranted.

I know quite a few of the players (and to be fair, some of the coaches), but even if I didn't, I will not harshly criticize the players and their performances if they're giving their all (and they almost always do). Nor will I hold them responsible for LSU's lack of success, such as a 5-loss implosion; that's on the coaches, and we're paying them millions of dollars to make sure that doesn't happen, esp. with the talent we have and some great recruits on the way.

Do you really think 5 losses next yr. is "very possible?" Don't know if you mean 7-5 in the reg. season or 8-5 after a bowl game. That's a separate thread, perhaps, but if LSU has another 5-loss season, we won't have to convince Miles to turn in his keys and clean out his office.

Love your no middle-ground stance: "Are you still 100% behind Miles being the coach for 2011?"). Your subtle "...therefore proving..." reveals your agenda, as well.

As far as Crowden goes (or doesn't go), I've heard he may get another year here, so...
