re: Once and for all. Declining college football attendance is NOT just an LSU problem

Last night I attended my first game in about 4 years. It took us 1 hour and 22 minutes to get out of the parking lot (I noted the time when we got into the vehicle). From that point it took us 48 minutes to get to the interstate. We did not leave until the final play

I love lsu football and going to games. I once went on a more than decade stretch of going to every game home and away. Every game. I’ve had season tickets for more than 20 years. I now bring all of my kids.

All that being said, I’m looking forward to watching games at home next week more than I look forward to going to campus for a game.

The experience has changed (both in the stadium and at home).

Not attending is one thing, but making the effort to get there then leaving early is another.

I always hangout in stadium for a few minutes, walk to car, then just sit there listening to post game. It’s less stressful and I only get home a few minutes later
