3-pt shooting always scares me.

If a team is on, it’s hard to win. If a 3-pt shooting team is off, much easier to win.

Let’s hope Iowa isn’t on Monday.

Who usually guarded her last year in the Championship game?

She got 41 points against Louisville last year, so hopefully someone besides HVL was guarding her.

On paper, UCLA was a bad matchup for LSU

I wouldn't say a bad matchup but probably one of the toughest on paper, UCLA had 6'7, 6'4, lots of five star talented guards on the perimeter who can go off. Its a very dangerous team who if Betts was not MIA middle of season because of some personal issues UCLA would have been a 1 seed. We beat a damn good team yesterday.

Iowa is a different animal but for different reasons. Beyond Clark they do not have the same caliber of players that can truly create and manufacture on their own. Much of their offense is because Clark is able to draw so much attention and give the rest of the team WIDE open looks. LSU will have a significant advantage in the paint and every LSU player 1 through 5 can create for themselves if needed. The key tomorrow is to not let Iowa's supporting cast go off and get lots of clean looks. You are not going to stop clark but if you limit what her supporting cast can do LSU will be in great shape.

I hope officiating tomorrow is decent. This isn't a pregame melt about officials but the officiating across WBB this past weekend was horrible. Too many games where refs were sending key players to the bench for phantom fouls and thats not fair to any of the teams

If Reese can contain her emotions and stay out of foul trouble we will win.

Win or lose I expect Caitlin Clark to be a whinnie baby

Same with the people rooting against LSU. Watching this season, outside of Louisiana there are a lot of anti LSU people. It's not just the media hating on LSU, but there are a lot of people running with the media's narrative. And they all seem to think Clark is some angel. I would watch the game at a sports bar but their whining will be too annoying.

I think, like last year, we will have to score more than we normally do to beat them.

I have watched more women's college basketball recently with my daughters being interested now and following LSU and there has not been a truer statement on here. The officiating in the women's game is terrible. I think the refs they get are ones who can't cut it in NBA or men's game and last resort is women's. It's bad.

LSU will have to beat the refs.....you probably want to add that to your matchup list.

LSU will have to beat the referees tonight. NCAA wants Clark in the Final Four.

Has anybody seen Iowa to tell the chances of Reece getting in foul trouble and having to leave the game for large periods of time? If that does not happen, if she can stay in the game and out of foul trouble...let Clark drive in, don't waste fouls on her you need to stay on the court bottomline...if Reese stays in the game, out of foul trouble, we win

This. Iowa Coach will tell the ballhandlers to go to the basket to draw fouls as much a make the shot, if they are cold with the 3's. Drawing a foul is not hard if one focuses on that with the 'lean' of arms. Kinda like a baseball team that relies on good bunts, passive version but effective.

Iowa has exactly one girl that can take a defender off the dribble. Caitlyn Clark can drive to the goal while the other 4 girls go and spot up at the 3 point line. They are all catch and shoot players. None of them are going to be beating a LSU defender off the dribble.

I wonder if Iowa packs the paint and dares LSU to shoot the three? Much like they did last year against Carolina.
