so long as Les Miles is coach. No question regarding his W/L %. That is a matter of record. It is the best in school history and he should be rightfully proud of it. But does that mean that he is above reproach or that he is no longer good for the program? My question is where is he taking this program? Is it getting better? Recent history gives a thundering "NO" to the last question.

After looking at things again it is so obvious that Les Miles has some kind of major malfunction that will always keep LSU from winning. And for the "pumpers" out there by winning I mean winning something like the SEC or even the West. Forget a national championship. I'll admit I thought his nutty professor act was cool when LSU was winning. Now it just makes him look like a fool.

Watching both Ole Miss and MSU get owned has crystalized some things for me at least so far as Mr. Miles is concerned. TCU and GT scored more than 40 points agains these teams when LSU struggled mightily. GT has a minimal passing game, but it is effective enough to make opponents respect it. Further, its QB can run effectively. Jennings does neither. This is a matter of record just as is Miles's W/L record.

Yet, despite repeated abject failure, Miles makes no changes. But the "pumpers" say Jennings gives LSU the best chance to win. Forget for a minute that that statement is tantamount to saying LSU has no chance to win. If this is true, then what has Miles been doing to get a QB who can actually play to come to this program? His answers to legitimate questions about the position are dismissed with a snarky comment like "Yes, we plan to have a QB playing..." or some such.

He has demonstrated an inability to make any adjustments to repeated in game failures and has not won a big game since 'Bama in 11. I reference this because if LSU does not beat that team, it can forget any type of championship.

The current AJ/BH situation is eerily similar to JJ/JL, but again there is no explanation why BH gets 0 playing time. Many successful CFB programs have subs play to get them experience. This concept is lost on Miles. Now, it LSU is winning who cares, but the game he rolled out yesterday against a hapless ND squad. But once again, the offense was nonexistent outside of big plays. Nothing wrong with big plays, but does anyone expect to win a championship with an offense comprised solely of big plays.

For some reason, the defense was afflicted by the offensive ineptitude. Whether this had anything to do with Chavis, who knows. He was a capable DC, but his teams had a knack for giving up the game winning drive that meant the difference between a BCS bowl and the toilet bowl.

Add this all up, and it seems unlikely that this pattern will change under LSU's current HC. He needs to fix the QB last year. He says there will be a competition for QB this spring, but no one believes that. He said repeatedly that BH would see playing time. So much for what Miles says. Maybe it is time for the program to re-evaluate its relationship with Miles. Given who is in the AD chair, that possibility seems remote, but I will say now, without a QB with a pulse, next year will be worse than this and will likely feature several shut out with LSU on the short end.

Till next year.

Don't be such a ray of sun shine, it is not your style. I don't know why people post when they are so negative by nature.

I think LSU will be much better after they hire a new DC and things settle down.

Read it all White Tiger and definitely agree with you 100 per cent. Now I will throw in my 2 cents and before I get attacked by the "I hate our fanbase" crowd, I preface what I will be saying with Ive been a Tiger fan since 1965 so I lived through and been to most all games under the bad seasons of Stovall, Archer , Hallman and Dinardo and a couple of subpar seasons under Coach Mac. All that to say this little point, I personally was not excited when I heard Miles was the replacement for Saban and who Bertman chose to hire. Still I'm a Tiger and pulled for our Tigers. A couple of times , I was ready to get both feet on the Miles bandwagon but then he would always do some brain fart in a game that would keep me off his bandwagon. Again , I pull for the Tigers not les Miles. In sum, I agree with what you're saying.

Realize that this makes you an idiot. I truly believe that the problem most have with Miles is his apparent inability to adjust or at least try to change something that is obviously not working. He just will not do it. God knows why. GT has just finished beating the pants off MSU. It just does not make sense. Yesterday's "effort" by the coaches is surpassed only by 1/9. I really thing the program needs a change for the better.
