We lost Pocic, Tuhema/ Boute. Of the starters going into season last year we only lost 2 positions.
Clapp- starter All- SEC caliber
Weathersby- starter , got hurt early and Tuhema took his spot I belief.
Malone- starter all year.

How is our Oline that terrible when we had two spots to fill?
Brumfield replaced one spot and is arguably the only decent lineman we have thus far?
I understand we didn't return 5 of 5 but the struggles this Oline has had you would think we didn't return a soul.

Personally, I thought the offensive line was terrible in critical moments last year.

The offense is different. Blocking assignments are different. Maybe they'll eventually get it.

I think they are average and not as bad as they look. We just have an awful O line coach that really did a special job of screwing that unit up

We have no true tackles because Miles only wanted to recruit guards and cross train them.

We have only 9 scholarship o-linemen. Most schools have 15-18.

Most of our starters aren't good enough to be 2nd string on Alabama's o-line

I think it's all the pre- snap motion. Not getting set and wore out. That's just me though

winner. They don't just "lose" how to block. Teheuma was the key loss for them and guess what? That was NOT MILES FAULT!!!

Strength and conditioning looks bad on both offense and defense.

In 2015 you didn't recruit one lineman. This has been in the making for a few years. Where you been?

It sure as hell wasn't Orgeron's fault either! How about we be honest and say it was Teheuma's fault. These players have to carry the burden of responsibility too

bottom line is both the O-line and D-line have been supremely lacking the past few years. players transferring, not meeting their expectations with their recruiting rankings, attrition in general etc. building strong lines is the key for any good football team. LSU has not had dominant line play since 2011.

Agree with the OP. No excuse for the OL to play as poorly as it has.

Lack of depth hasn't been a factor yet.

bologna. Why do you think we have to start a true freshmen if depth isn't a issue?

Our OL problems start with not having many true OT, and even last year, our OL was good at run blocking, but struggled to pass block. that's still the case, but the assignments have also changed. Hopefully, we can sign at least 1 Juco OT in this next class.

With the Oline troubles, wouldn't you want to get the RBs the ball quicker so the Oline doesn't have to hold blocks as long? RBs look to be 7yds in the backfield and everything is damn near closed up by time they get the ball.
