Does that mean "this is it" for the Rebs? Makes no sense to do it? If you were a leader on that team would you have done it?

I honestly can't see the reasoning. They beat us yet they act like that's it for them. Maybe it is. If so congrats guys but if you had any higher aspirations

It wasn't a dog pile.......they were jumping on the guy with the game winning hit and stumbled on each other

Yes. Listen to the TV replay. The announcers were hammering your boys for it.

Nice wins though.

Sure. It makes tons of sense. If you already know that you're not going to make it to the CWS, just on account of being Ole Miss, why not celebrate your greatest possible achievement (outside of possibly winning a co-division title)?

beachreb, I made the weekend series and it was the third LSU @ Ole Miss series I've attended since 2004. I am always amazed at the level of hatred that you guys have for LSU. Nice wins though.

Who cares, they swept a series against LSU all in nailbiting fashion. They deserve to celebrate like that.

LSU did something similar last week after the Bama sunday game.

If your gonna have a bad weekend, better now than during regional time.

Can Ole Miss finally get over the hump - we will see or will this be there season highlight.

LSU on the road - it's not easy as the defending champ - everyone has that series circled on the calendar. At home, LSU is a different team - the pitching has not risen to the challenge on the road but at least the offense is there to bail them out when needed. It didn't happen this weekend but all three games were winnable.
Florida is the next challenge, you can't let the Ole Miss series beat you next weekend.

Great games by the Rebels! And, yes, we will celebrate every win over LSU in every sport every time. That makes sweeps in baseball, basketball, football and even tennis and golf over LSU in 09-10. It's always sweet to beat LSU in any sport and enjoy the whining of their ungracious fans.

I'm not upset about it. Losing 3 im upset about but we're not going anywhere. If LSU did it I would be upset.

Now all us Rebs are so upset - Because we know all know how informed and impartial these college baseball TV announcers are...
How will we ever live it down/

Seriously though, did you watch the video link? Do you actually define that as a dogpile? Or do you just swallow the spoon-feedings of the highly paid, highly accurate CSS annpouncers?

That wasnt a dogpile, it was a celebration of the walkoff hit and the sweep. Like two guys fell down?

That video doesn't have as good of an angle as CST did, it was a dog pile, a few players falling on a couple other players, some were still standing, but some werent

The announcer was as perplexed as we were (not Jumbo). He said and the Ole Miss players "dogpile at first base, which I don't really understand" or something that effect.

It was right in front of me. There were a grand total of 4 players that fell down. That was not a dogpile.

You're just deflecting your frustrations over a meaningless celebration and over exaggerating it.

Get over it....quit being so butthurt

Butthurt is never bringing home the hardware. However, I honestly don't think anyone is upset about the pile as much as confused by the runt mentality. Great series sweep btw

4 players on top of each other is enough for a dogpile, either way, as I said before, that doesn't bother me as much as that douche Snyder standing at the plate watching his homerun. If there was another game, he would've been drilled. Also, the reason for the huge celebration was a little weird the way it took place. Ole Miss basically had the game won with the 2nd hit of the inning, it was going to take a minor miracle for them to not score a run. They had a little time to let it soak in. It wasn't like it was a homerun with nobody on or a guy on 1st, or a close play at the plate. The outcome was decided. Hell, I felt like it was decided with the game tying homer in the 8th.
