While I agree with you about the racial component being incorrect I will say the statistics don’t tell the complete story.

Joe Burrow came to LSU and had 5-6 weeks to get ready for Miami in Arlington.
The schedule Joe had to play was much tougher than Ohio State’s schedule and Burrow was not familiar with his teammates and it was later in the season before he had time to get comfortable. Nonetheless, Burrow led LSU to 10 wins and Fiesta Bowl Victory and a #6 final ranking. That has to be factored in as well.

I’m bashing on the idiots who care that people in Ohio take some pride in one of their own making it to the Super Bowl.

I don’t mind people from Ohio claiming Joe! I do have a problem with Ohio State fans claiming him as a Buckeye! If you can’t distinguish the 2 then that’s your own problem

Ole Miss fans sure acted like Peyton was their chosen son back when he was rolling with the Colts.

Wouldn’t matter. Most of these lunatics are grown arse people, at least when it comes to their age.

It was his dream school, which he attended and from which he indeed graduated. He was at Ohio State longer than he was at LSU. He is a Buckeye, and is also a Tiger. Even just saying that makes it even more clear how fricking crazy you all are.

Sounds like a bunch of losers throwing shite and punching walls cause “OHIO STATE BETTER STOP CLAIMING BDJ!”

Me the same, my family has met Drew Brees, Duece M, Hillard, and many Saints favorite team but we’ve now become Bengal fans. We kinda jumped on the wagon but we are invested in Burrow & Chase fully now. Back to the analogy:
When Fresno St won the Natty in Baseball a few years ago: La Tech fans(loathe) split with them in conference and took a Moral victory Natty. They are the moral victory claimers, it runs rapid amongst their DELUSIONAL fan base.

amusingly, he still claims us too:

Joe Burrow put an end to the debate over whether or not Ohio State fans can claim him during his media meet on Thursday (2/3/2022).

“I’m definitely still a Buckeye,” Burrow said while wearing an LSU hoodie. “I graduated from there. I still have relationships to this day that I wouldn’t have without being there. I’m still in contact with Coach Mick(ey Marotti), Coach (Ryan) Day, Corey (Dennis) and all those guys. I’m still a Buckeye.”

How many games did Joe start for Ohio State? What was his W/L record?

That tells me all I need to know about the legitimacy of this claim.

Yes he absolutely did grow up being on OSU fan (football fan especially) like many of us grew up with Tiger football. He got offered by them and of course accepted as it was probably like a dream come true for him (understandably so). For lots of reasons (1. His coach CUM is a moron who needs to thank Tebow for his perceived coaching greatness 2. The QB room at tOSU was extremely crowded 3. He sustained an injury at the most in opportune time possible) For these reasons and whatever else the storybook ending at the school he grew up down the road from idolizing never came to fruition and upon completing his undergrad degree he decided to further his education (which is never a bad idea) and make a fresh start with his football dream. He chose LSU which turned out to be a fantastic choice for both him and the school. His dreams only then became reality as he not only achieved greatness (Hiesman and Natty) but also received his graduate degree as well. All amazing accomplishments btw. So think of it like this if you graduated from LSU then Loyola Law School you would claim both HOWEVER as far as your occupation goes Loyola would really carry the weight as far as your career goes being a lawyer right? In reality I wish (as im sure he did as well) that tOSU would have beaten Clemson and we would have played them in the championship game. Then see how much OSU he would have been that night but no matter what he is a Buckeye so who cares. When he goes into the college football HOF I can promise you this, he will be wearing purple and gold for sure. So everyone just chill, I read somewhere where he has the chance to actually do a first. Be the FIRST QB to win a Hiesman, Natty, and Super Bowl in a career, YES A CAREER!!!!!! When that happens tOSU will be no part of it, NONE!!! And to think he will have done it in just under 26 months. What a ride baws, what a sweet ride and yes……WE ARE ALL WITNESSES!!

Someone gave Burrow a chance at LSU. No one ever gave him anything in Butteye country.

That’s why he will always be a Tiger.

The fact remains that Joe himself claims Ohio St. He graduated from the school and has always spoken fondly of his time their. He knew once Haskin had beat him out due to his broken hand that it was time for him to move on, and the rest is history. Why does this have to be mutually exclusive?

It’s like Georgia claiming Justin Fields. Or Texas Tech claiming Baker Mayfield.

Which I’ve seen neither of.
