That's what I was thinking we'd do. Lange on Saturday has been decided for a while now, and since it shouldn't really matter who we throw against Lehigh (probably either Bain or Reynolds), that helps save Poche for Sunday.

Simulated game for #LSU pitchers and hitters as Tigers decide on Friday's pitching plan.

Three #LSU pitchers not participating in the simulated game: Poche, Lange and ... Bain.

I'm thinking they hold Bain off for a possible long relief role on Sunday or a Game 4 start.

Steve Schneider ?@9SportsDirector
#LSU Sunday starter Jared Poche' says "Johnny Wholestaff" will do fine against Lehigh for Friday's opener.

Would be great to see them start Reynolds and pitch 2-3 other arms who might not be as valuable Saturday and Sunday and save Bain for a "in case shite happens" guy for the weekend.

What's Reynolds longest outing this year? If he started good I would think they'd ride him as long as possible.

Reynolds pitched 4.2 innings in relief against ULL, and that's the longest outing for any of his decisions (didn't check every box score). More recently, he got the win in the SECT for 3.1 innings of relief against Arkansas.

I could see Reynolds starting for a few innings against Lehigh and using Jack Wholestaff after that. That would save Bain for either emergency long relief or a game 4 start, if necessary.

Cheer, you don't have to check each box score to get some of those stats.

You can check the Game Notes on the LSU site prior to each series and it will list each player's participation and stats for each game so far.

Check page 27 on the link below to see all of Reynolds' outings prior to the SECT.

Thanks for that, 81. I figured they had individual appearances listed somewhere, but wasn't quite sure where to look for it.

Would there happen to be a schedule for the super regionals yet? Dates and times.

You don't want to burn Reynolds for Saturday and Sunday by pitching him 3-4 innings on Friday.
