An FSU win guarantees LSU at least Cotton. I think Sugar would still be 50/50. Agreed?

I think LSU gets sugar if FSU wins. I don't see loser of SEC Championship Game getting a bcs bowl at all.

You all realize UGA is 11-1 and #3 right? They won't be penalized for making the SEC CG . UGA and Bama in BCS bowls.

Here's the bottom line.... If LSU finishes in BCS top 4, they are guaranteed a BCS game.

Right now, the worst LSU would finish is 5 wit loser of sec championship and Florida falling behind them.

If Someone else in front of them loses, they're automatically in.

Loser of the seccg usually gets the shaft. Unless you are undefeated going into it. The Loser of the seccg will play in the cap 1 bowl.

And in 2005 we had one OT regular season loss, lost in the SEC CG, then went to the Peach Bowl as #9. Talk about being penalized.

Times have changed. Try to keep up
quote:

If the SEC champion is selected to participate in the BCS National Championship Game, the Sugar Bowl is not required to pick the SEC runner-up but may select any eligible BCS team. However, since the BCS title game was moved to a standalone basis in 2007, the Sugar Bowl has selected an SEC team, and since 2008 has chosen the SEC runner-up (the 2007 Sugar Bowl featured LSU, who was not the SEC runner-up but was an eligible BCS team). However, since 2006, the Sugar Bowl has selected either a division runner-up (2006 LSU, 2007 Georgia, and 2010 Arkansas) or conference runner-up (2008 Alabama, 2009 Florida), which has been the second highest ranked SEC team in the BCS standings.

Georgia or Bama to the Sugar

LSU would be a divisional runner-up and could very well be the 2nd highest ranked SEC team, so I really don't see what you're trying to prove with that post
