And with LSU and Georgia getting the hype this week, does that hurt Alabama? If they're third in the SEC, are they deserving over a conference champion?

What you're not taking into account, is that the last vote is not about who is the better team.
It's about who they want to see in the BCSNCG.
Alabama is undoubtedly the second best team.
I'm taking that into account. But so far I have seen no significant trend to suggest the voters are anti-SEC or anti-Rematch.

You really don't deserve to be in this thread after you post lies on the SEC Rant

Also, while OSU is #5, they are only 46 points away from being #3.
Yeah, but they are far from being a consensus 3 (1357 points). Theoretically, OSU would need to be somewhere in the 1372 range, to Bama's 1401, in the final poll (with a similar ratio in the Harris.
In reality, there will be some voter screwiness once the narrative develops and a few folks will drop OSU and Bama lower than 2-3 if it is a close vote. OSU needs something above the 1360 range to have a chance most likely. Bama looks pretty good right now IMO.

Not in the debate or discussion mood, huh? What's next? Name calling? I'm entitled to my opinion. I have not done any flaming on this board.

You are absolutely entitled to your opinion. But you have flamed and lied on the SEC Rant. FACT.

How many second and third place votes is OSU currently losing to Stanford? Do we know yet?
Posted on 11/27/11 at 1:34 pm to RollTideRockStar
Man, I bet Boise St. is just about going full-retard mode about that one loss they have. I really believe this year they would have made the big show.

No bud, I have simply countered your opinion. Opposing a side does not mean disrespect. Just as simple as being Republican or Democrat.
I stated, as you well know, that OSU could not pass Alabama (considering your math) even with a win in Bedlam based on projected numbers that you ran. Every day, with respect, I am being proven more right. I can do math as well sir.
EDIT: But either way let's debate if you want or I'll leave if you ask. Not going to participate where I am not welcome.

lsumatt - are the big 12 coaches all voting for ok state over Alabama enough to get ok st to the championship game or will others need to vote the same way? Also could the big 12 coaches vote ok st #1 to get them in?

It appears that Ok State is only getting about 6 4th place votes, so almost all voters have Stanford above Oklahoma State

Tread lightly!
I'm with some of the other posters, that move wouldn't take place with Ok. St. being idle, and Alabama winning convincingly.
But, oh wait, someone now points out that 5 voters actually did make a move.
Hmmmmmmmmmm....

Your rant post:

lsumatt says you're wrong. He says OSU no matter what.
which is 100% a lie.

I have no problem with different opinions. Just don't run to the SEC Rant and make things up. I have said all along it is an uphill battle for OSU, but unlike many I give them a fighting chance.

My theory is that until now, there were too many potential teams and too many scenarios to compare. Now the choices are simpler. Do we want a one loss conference champion, or a runner up who didn't make the final two (so to speak). Will the voters reset, step back, and review each team's body of work. And not which team lost most recently.
Bama has one huge advantage, however. The likely Heisman winner.

No, you repeatedly exaggerate his comments and mock him for things that he never posted. Either you can't read and comprehend properly, or you were just acting like a dick.

Taken out of context and was a joke. On the other hand, was is not your opinion that OSU would jump Alabama with a win in Bedlam?

When Oregon beats the snot out of UCLA, while idle Stanford watches, and OSU can win convincingly, that can all but disappear, no?
One thing worth mentioning when discussing Big 12 coaches' votes, Stoops and Saban are BFF. Stoops spends every available moment, even bye weeks sometimes, monitoring Saban's every move.
Brings his staff down to Tuscaloosa regularly, from what I understand.

There was nothing joke about it. You are making stuff up on the SEC rant so you have ammo that says "lsumatt is wrong" when in fact I have never said such a thing.
quote:
as is not your opinion that OSU would jump Alabama with a win in Bedlam
nope. all I ever said was that OSU needs a minimum of 25% of votes and that seems feasible.

lsumatt- want to update the OP with the updated rankings and projections or would be better to wait for Harris to come out?
