Shepard sounds like a leader when he talks to the press, no matter how many downs he has played, everyone knows his ability. I think Ridley has a chance to be a leader.

I am sure you are correct. However, he better learn that stomping around pointing at himself after a 5 yard gain is not leadership, it is a sure way to an unsportsmanlike penalty.
Oh I agree... Hopefully if he really wants to become a leader for this team he'll cut that stuff out. We'll see.

We haven't had a great leader since guys like Kyle Williams, Marcus Spears, Ben Wilkerson, Mauck, Flynn. That's a piece this team has lacked over the last 2-3 years.

Obviously this guy. You can see the intensity in his eyes.

I think its TT,Michael Ford, Stevan Ridley or Russell Shepard
& I hope JJ gets his act together and plays a lot better.

It is obvious that Shep and PP are the clear leaders on defense, but the absence of leadership on offense has proven to be costly. They don't play with any passion or authority.
It's May.

There isn't one. Someone needs to step up.

I think that The wide outs are a good group to start with because Russell Sheppard, Terrance Tolliver and Rueben Randle were leaders at the high school level. But The offensive line has something to prove, so I am expecting them to come together as a unit. The running backs are going to do their part. Unfortunately, at this time the most important position is the weakest. But it shouldn't come down to a single person but a team. The leadership will show up but the most important position is not where it will come from.

From what I can tell, Ridley and Shep are the 2 most dynamic personalities on offense. However, I'm not sure if either will be on the field enough to be THE leader. And that's due to their positions more than anything. I think your offensive leaders need to be on the field 90% of the time(i.e. QBs and OLs), and WRs and RBs rarely are. But I love listening to Ridley talk away from the field. He seems to be a really thoughtful dude.

Terrance Tolliver must become a leader. He is the most experienced player we have. I was listening to Billy Gonzales on the radio a couple weeks ago and he said he is challenging Tolliver to step up as a leader. I really liked what I heard out of him, he knows the coaches have to challenge the players to become leaders. I really wish Miles would have made him OC and canned Crowton.
