It feels like it has been forever since we had true depth on the o-line.

Excited to see the leap this group makes from last year to this year.

Kelly building this football team from the inside out. Doesn't get done over night but he is getting there.

Kelly has a great record of putting out great OL and TEs. We are already seeing a difference in year 2.

Iron sharpens iron. I love the depth we've built.

Kelly and Davis are getting the two deep aligned.
A True Freshman has moved into the backup position?

Many people are concerned about Charles Turner. I’m not. He has persevered through injury and concerns about being too lite. This guy is smart, has good technique, and is over 300 lbs. he will be a formidable force and a quality asset to our O line.

Again, 2019 had a 4th year first day NFL starter on the bench. To make sure there is no confusion, Ed Ingram was in his fourth year. He backed up the two guards. He played one more year, was drafted, then won the starting job his rookie year in the NFL. We also had Traore (4th year in the NFL), Chasen Hines (6th round pick and active for the Patriots), and Cam Wire.

2019 was the greatest offensive line in LSU history and easily deserved the award they received for being the best in all of college football.

Don't you read this board? The "experts" here were happy to explain how that O-line was pure garbage and it was the magic of Joe Burrow that glossed over how terrible they were.

Idk man

Love Charles but he got abused against any DLine with a pulse last year. Hopefully he improves but he was a liability in the run game and got pushed around a lot in the pass game.

I mean the odds of finding two stud tackles out of high school in your first recruiting class have to be astronomical.

That was a good line but Burrow’s decisiveness definitely helped.

No doubt, I trust Kelly and Brad Davis as to the development of the Offensive Line.

Agree. This also means we are 3 deep at the center spot. I like it. It is also interesting to have a 6'6" center. Not typical. Freshman must really be impressing the coaches.

Yeah! When was the last time Louisiana produced two O Lineman of that talent level in one class?
Never? The stars were aligned. To the Staff's credit, they have recruited excellent talent outside the state as well.

Tiger Ethan Pocic is 6’6”, been playing in the NFL for around 7 years. Plays center and guard.

Maybe I missed it. Who’s starting at center right now with Turner moving to guard?

Edit: Martinez is moving to guard. Too hungover, my bad.

Martinez was playing like a guard when he got playing time last year for an injured Turner. He was destroying people. Win-win.
