one answer is that O's meddling happened for the 1st half of one game (Troy) and Miles had his stamp on the offense the whole time.
Ed destroyed the offense with the meddling you idiots have charged Miles with for years.
I mean like how do you listen to yourself saying a a coach 2 years removed still has some hold on the offensive playcalling without busting out laughing.

You seem to think that the coordinators rule the roost. The HC's make a lot of decisions over the coordinators on every team. The result is that the HC gets the glory or the rath from it. I did not see CEO being spared any rath. People were calling loudly for him to be fired by midseason.

agreed...a coaching staff is not a democracy.

If he has another mediocre or season this year he's more than likely done. But then again LSU is so fricked up he may get a raise and extension.

Logic would indicate this should be the case. We need to stop trying to apply logic and rational thought to the decision making with regards to the football program from F. King on down to O. That shite is out the window with this bunch.

Surely, the solution to this is hiring a career TE coach to be our offensive coordinator.

I know you're a troll, but do you really think our shite offense was all Canada's fault and had nothing to do with O or the QB?

Canada's offense has never "sucked balls", including last year. Yeah, we weren't world beaters on offense but that can happen when you're installing a brand new system from the top-down with a meddling DL coach turned head coach, physically limited QB, banged up star RB and banged up, young OL. I was interested to see what Canada could make of Brennan and/or Narcisse with another year or two. Oh well.

The only pass I remember O getting was for keeping Aranda. Any of his other decisions were met with harsh criticism, whether deserved or not.
He will be scrutinized at LSU more than any coach in the nation the next couple of years, if he lasts that long. As it should be!

Jesus Christ man. If anything it was on the offensive line. Are our fans so stupid that they just fling shite at the QB and head coach like some stupid ape?

Typical Oneofus logic.
2017 skulldrug by perennial whipping boy MSU, lose to midmajor Troy and look lost/unprepared in most every phase of bowl game loss- players fault.
1-9-12 lose to one of the best Gump squads ever- QB and coach fault.

Have a bananna.

New to following football in general and LSU in particular?
At least try to be a little correct in your little melt.

I'm not absolving Orgeron here. I just think it's silly to point to the QB when the offensive line was a much bigger liability.

I thought everyone told us we were getting a sweet deal on O because he wouldn't meddle like other coaches.

So what you're saying is in actuality we hired a coach that acts like every other coach, except he knows a lot less than most of them? That's awesome.

You mean the offense that turned pitt in to a top 10 offense, or the offense that hung 50+ on Clemson, or the offense that got him to be a Broyles award finalist?

You say it sucked balls yet he did just as good as SE did as OC with less talent and a new system. So why did we fire him to hire SE to replace him?

0 has made his bed. Let’s see if he shites it. If the offense stumbles he will be rightly pilloried. No one knows what will happen, but I see little reason for optimism about the offense. It has been too many years of offense as an afterthought that I will believe only when it happens.

Speaking hypothetically, let's say Coach O did "meddle" in the offense from the start of the season, or BYU. That was in Sept. of 2017. This is Jan.2018. Point being, nothing new is being repeated here, just the same old hate, with slight paraphrases & said meddling, to whatever degree one believes, happened 4 mths ago, last season. Move on. God.
