I'm watching the Weather all morning.

Plaquemines Parish is getting destroyed and people are being rescued.. but I still don't see the winds exceeding 55 in Baton Rouge. I'm sorry.

I also saw roughly 500k people in LA/MS are without power.

That sucks!

But seriously when/if you lose power in BR let us know via phone if you can.

I'm thinking double-header next Saturday....our starters are only going to play the first half of both games anyway, just play North Texas in the morning and Washington in the evening.

Storm is moving too slow. Not enough time to get the city ready for a game on Saturday.

BR hasn't seen the worst of the weather it will see yet. But still so. We haven't seen any weather here yet close to bad enough to postpone the game.

How quickly it dissipates and which path it takes will have a lot of bearing on how much damage we see in BR.

Pressure has started to climb and that is followed by weakening usually. And since it is going so slow it might not be very strong when it does finally give us its worst.

All that said the only reason the game might not be played is because of factors outside of Tiger Stadium. Such as availability of police or out of mourning for those that were affected the worst.

If the wind catches and rips down the PVC pipe, we are fuuuuucked. Obviously, Tiger Stadium can't operate without it!

That is exactly what I been trying to say as well.

Well said. I just don't see it as a big deal in Baton Rouge. I know it's not fully here yet, but all the projections I have looked at all morning do not show damaging winds. Yes lots of rain and it's slow but it's all cleared out by Friday..

At this point, it appears there will be no game Saturday...It's almost certain now that BR is gonna get hit pretty hard for the next 12-24 hours.....there will be widespread power outages for days, effectively shutting down the city.

Because people are stubborn and have to see it for themselves to be convinced.

I'll be convinced when I see it for myself.

I guess people don't get that this storm is just going to sit and dump rain and wind on BR for days

You're going to have trees down, power lines down, people without power etc on game day.

Sorry, I just don't see a game happening, even if I really want it to.

Anyone in BR area: WAFB just said to expect "the worst" to get there in 15 to 17 hours.

Yea we go through it today and tomorrow. Hard to imagine a game being played, which really sucks. If we have to fill the bye week with a game it would really suck.

Really don't see how this game gets played on Saturday. No idea when they could reschedule seeing as both off dates do not match up.
