re: Nuss is not that guy, yet

Nuss will never be the starter. Daniels now and then Howard.

Sound logic that you just applied to Howard being the answer before Nuss when you have zero evidence there as well

I'd be fine if we skipped Nuss and went straight to Howard

My evidence is how calm and collected he was and the running ability he showed. He was in high school last year and had the demeanor of what I would expect Nuss to have at this point.
Add that to the discussions that many reports have been saying he is probably the most talented qb on the team and he did nothing to make me question that.
Nuss, meanwhile, continued to display terrible accuracy and very poor decision making. He always appears to be forcing everything.

You actually tried to justify that ridiculous statement above
The fact is you have 0 clue who's the answer moving forward outside projecting pure speculation on their development.
You don't even realize you contradicted yourself in the original statement you made. I think BK and LSU scouting knows more than you. They seem to like both QBs but like Nuss a lot right now too.

I did not contradict anything.
I am willing to make a permanent ban bet for this website with you.
If Nuss starts one entire year here (not due to injury) I will NEVER post here again. But if he is replaced by any qb or never wins the starting job you can NEVER post on this site again.
I trust my evaluation over your opinion.

Nuss is a complete and total knucklehead!

He has been on campus for barely over a year and you guys really expected him to beat out someone who has almost 3 years experience on him already?
There were several posters on this board who absolutely did.
That poster NicotineFree was on here almost every day for a month insisting that Nussmeier was the better QB and would start against FSU. He either tucked-tail or got banned once the season began.

Nuss played poorly, but he showed flashes of what got people excited. I always wanted it to be Daniels—it just made too much sense—but giving up on Nuss after Saturday is ridiculous. This “he will NEVER” be good, much less the starting QB is absurd. He’s got plenty of time to develop. I’ll give him a pass because he likely knew that was gonna be one of the times he had to shine and was probably pressing trying to make an impression. I think if Daniels goes down and Nuss gets a full week of reps with the 1s and a game plan designed around his strengths, you’ll see a much different—and better—QB.
That said, like others, I thought Howard was impressive in his limited time. I was surprised that they used that as 1 of his 4 games, though, especially considering what happened with Nuss last year. There’s a more than zero chance Howard has to go in and play at some point in meaningful games. May wish he had that extra game in his pocket. Unless they just love him so much that they’re not gonna bother redshirting him.

He has all the talent in the world based on what?
What he did in high school?
Based on his quickness of foot and throw, and his arm strength that we've seen in games, spring games, and practice.

He was trying to throw 6tds at once. Just trying to do too much. He is going to be a good QB in time

Yep. In BK's own words.

Regarding Nussmeier...needs to take care of the football, he did some really good things that you can build off...he was pressing since he is the No. 2 and wants to stand out.

He needs to say on the bench

There is a bothersome consistency here about Nuss.
He presses and takes chances BECAUSE he is not the starter, hoping he can do something spectacular to get to the No. 1 spot. So, he takes unnecessary risks, not for the team, but for Nuss. Its a formula that is highly unlikely to work for either the team or Nuss.
But it reflects the same sense of selfishness, entitlement and impatience that he exuded when he refused to play in the Texas Bowl.
Nuss, first, team second.

A bit of a hip shooter...could see it in his character during camp press conference...but it needs gametime to improve.

What is going on?
Is the changing Pole knocking folks minds out of orbit also.
First time I can remember the 2nd team QB isn't the best player on the team.
Maybe after we play a few SEC teams, the planet will right itself.
If Fla St had played a team other than Duquesne, we could better judge if they were really a true test.

Howard was put into the game to get a feel for what College Football is about & how it differs from high school. They are preparing him to have a real chance at starting next season. Quite literally developing him as the coaching staff sees fit.

You can have a cannon of an arm and still suck lol.
A cannon means nothing when it’s cannoned right into a defenders hands for an INT
