Nebraska AD quotes for the firing of Pelini

It sounds a lot like their quotes for firing their last coach.

Good luck finding someone who wants to fricking live in Nebraska.

I think everybody knows that Bo acts crazy at times and can have a$$hole behavior. I'm sure that didn't help him in making their decision. But many programs tolerate azzholes if they are winning at the level they expect. I think they were hoping that Bo would turn the corner and get a conference title. Yeah, they were spoiled when Solich took over. They pulled the trigger fast on him considering the success he had. And he accomplished more than Bo.

Yeah, Nebraska had a special run with Osborne that won't be repeated. They may be chasing their tail. Nebraska can not be an easy place to get 18-year-old kids to commit to these days.

LSU has won plenty of games that matter. Miles' record at LSU far surpasses Pelini's at Nebraska.

I don't mean you, lsu2006, if anyone couldn't tell Bo was an Ahole when he was at LSU then you won't understand why he was fired. He made Saban seem calm.

There's nothing wrong with that line of thinking. Now, the AD has to back it up and hire the guy to come in and win those games Bo couldn't. That's the same line they used with Solich, and that AD wound up with Bill Callhan, so hopefully this guy will have a better experience

You do not fire a coach with 7 9+ win seasons unless you already have someone in mind AND that person has said "Sure I would like to come run a program where I will be fired after only winning 9 games each year for 7 years."

Tom Osborne had 25 straight 9+ wins seasons (including 15 10+ win seasons) and finished ranked in the top 15 in 24 of his 25 seasons. Although that must have been incredible for Nebraska, they may still think that is the norm since he was the coach for 25 years from 1973-1997. They had a miracle run and that ain't happening again. The funny thing is that Osborne had 7 straight bowl losses before Nebraska went undefeated in back-to-back seasons repeating as National Champs (he was a field goal away from winning three straight). Their 95 team is still the best I've ever seen.

Yes he was complacent for 7 years! Our worse season is 8-4 these past 5 years.

We have went 10-2, 13-0, 10-2, 9-3 and 8-4. We are suffering from huge attrition problem from defense (2012) and offense (2013). We'll be right back on track with a 10-2 or 11-1 record because we aren't losing a thousand players this year.

We've beaten UF 4/5 times, WVU (went to BCS bowl), Oregon, Bama 2/5, Wisconsin, Auburn 3/5, TAMU 3/3, Ole Miss 4/5, MSU 4/5, Arkansas 3/5, UNC, UT 2/2, USCe, TCU and UGA 1/2.

Auburn is the only other team with two wins against Bama over the past 5 years. So I'd like to ask you, what in the hell does Bo Pelini's terrible head coaching and mediocre record have to do with LSU?

You think you are making a point, but you are damn wrong. LSU is only behind one team in this conference, The GOAT.

Nebraska was consistently behind Wisconsin, and OSU, Michigan St in a crappy conference.

You floating sacks of stupid shite don't know how good we have it. We just got the #2 class and will be bringing in a top 5 class in 2016. This team is loaded to go on a two year playoff run. Our worse is 8-4 playing in the toughest division of college football. Their best is 9-3 playing in one of the worse power 5 divisions of college football.

Really weak comparison if you are trying to make some correlation to lsu. Pelini hasn't won shite at Nebraska. Miles has three division titles, 2 conf champs, 2 bcs championship game appearances and a title.

It's really ridiculous isn't it? I try everyday to knock some sense into some of these people, but these are 30, 40, 50 year old adults stuck on stupid.

The only team Miles is behind the past 5 years is Alabama. Alabama is in dynasty mode and nobody else is close right now except for LSU (who seems to be one TD away most of the time). If you are going to fire a coach over that, then you need to fire every head coach in the Power 5.

Compare Miles last 5 years to Pelini's.

I'll type this slowly to help you. Bo was (is) an arrogant a$$hola whose biggest mistake was firing back at the butt wipes in the Nebraska fan base.

His players loved and respected him for that and for other things.

That help?

He didn't win the games that mattered....virtually none of them, and mostly got blown out in the process.

I think you are trying to slam Miles here, and it's laughable that you use this approach. Miles has won PLENTY of huge games at LSU, plenty, two of the biggest were the NC Game and also the real game of the century on the road against a great Alabama team......some of the other big wins include the two SEC Championship game wins.

I suspect you didn't really think this one through, and just assumed you would have your fellow bashers jump on board with y ou here. Some will I'm sure, but most know this is a terrible analogy comparing Pelini to Miles...it's laughable at best.

For the record, I think it's time Miles moved on, but some of you are just

He's an arse for pointing out the obvious....got ya.

All he said was the truth. Miles has won plenty of huge games. Pelini never did that.

Yeah, Nebraska is what school's should wanna be. Fire coaches who win 9-10 games a year and try to replace them with say HOUSTON NUTT. Those idiots wanted Nutt before now he is available.

Hurry up Nebraska Nutt might get away!
