Also don't forget he asked to move to receiver.

Odell Beckham got the same coaching. How did he manage to pass Shep up in a month of fall practice?

Ummm... you realize that like with the QBs, some players came in naturally talented and playing well only to regress with coaching right?

bullshite--the kid only had the ball thrown to him 18 times this and of the 18 he dropped 4 and scored 4 touchdowns. Not bad at all for a kid who was royally fricked by Jordan Jefferson.

OBJ was a receiver and he plays...receiver at LSU. Shep was the #1 Dual Threat QB in the nation and Miles preferred the abomination of JJ. Shep isn't a bust. The coaches failed him.

Biggest 5 star bust is RP without question.

He was the biggest bust because his hype surpassed most of the other 5 star players combined hype.

Too many to name. TT80 is another 5 star of ours that didn't even get grafted.

OBJ had almost as many catches in his 1st year at LSU as Shep had in his career. With way fewer drops.

He had two years to learn the position. The fact that two true freshman had passed him up by the end of the year speaks volumes.

I remember wtching shep throw with the other top qb's in a camp on TV. he ws no that accurate. But he was a natural athlete. I don't see how he got the rating he did coming out of high school.

In Josh Reed's 2nd week at WR he had a 100 yard receiving game. I know not everybody learns the position at the same curve but the dude should get some responsibility for failing there instead of just blaming the coaches or the QBs. I agree he wasn't utilized properly on the field but his failings kept him off the field for the most part.

Sadly Baton Rouge=Bermuda triangle of talent. Good luck to Shep, I really hope to see him get on a NFL team
