Thanks, Anthony Jennings fan. Yes, Brandon regressed, but Jennings was even worse.

Not really. They both were pretty bad, with unacceptable accuracy issues. Neither one of them changed many games when we needed him (I suppose Jennings came alive in the Wisconsin game, and both played well against UF). From a performance standpoint, I really don't know how you can pick one over the other as they are nearly identical. Harris also had the more mature group around him.

You have zero objectivity on anything LSU QB related.

It doesn't sound like you do either. Harris is certainly more physically gifted, like he always has been, but after both having 1 season as a true sophomore starter, he has shown absolutely nothing more than Jennings did.

I think both guys can improve, but I expect much more at this phase. Harris has had plenty of reps at this point, and truly looks worse now than he did taking his first reps. I really hope we can get someone ready for next year, as we will have the most experience we have had at the position in 5 years.

sure he doesn't always hit an open man and he misses some throws, but even the best QBs can struggle with accuracy at times...

the only complaint I have on Harris is that when he can't find his open guy, he doesn't always use his legs and athletic ability to scramble and pick up good yards. He has done it a few times this year but other times he panics and throws the ball away or tries to force it down field...

other than that, it's his receivers who are having the problems. they've dropped way too many catch-able passes this year.

This is simply a bad post Chris.

He completion percentage was over 64% for 4 fricking SEC games. That 58% came in a game that was in miserable, soggy conditions, and it was almost 300 yards.

Truly, you're a fricking moron.

You are the guy that is trying to say that a guys had excellent anything when he finished at just over 50%. And btw I think that 58% he is talking about is cumulative, not the WKU game where he was 55%. So if you make the argument that he was 64% against the harder teams, you are also making the argument he was much worse against easier teams.

Chill out, your argument doesn't make sense and you need to know that.

5 of the last 6 national champions have had first year starters at QB.

Brandon Harris made epic mistake coming here to play QB! If he would have gone to a real offensive team he would be very very dangerous QB to deal with!!
LSU = Oakland Raiders w/qb

Tons of teams have had great offenses with sophomores. He is barely better than Jennings. Neither deserve to be an SEC QB with what I have seen.

Mettenberger finished his first season at 54%. Would you say he improved the next year? We as fans, tend to forget the little things.

You're forgetting that Mett improved in large part because he got out from under Stud's awful offense and got under Cam his senior year.

Harris has already been in Cam's system nearly two full years now. Any improvement, unfortunately, will be marginal.
