I have to wonder, hearbreaktiger and cajunfootball, you both are SO much smarter than me, but are you just a little starting to wonder if I may have been right about questioning Metts' eligibility a few weks ago, gee, maybe just maybe you two are about to look like fools...again....we will see, but you nervous? and for the 99.9% of you who are smart enough to read these posts as LSU fans and supporters, I HOPE METT IS eligible for the fall, and that we go 14-0....we are on the same page

Sounds like some of the players are just as unhappy that the best QB we have isn't going to be playing.

To be clear I AM ROOTING FOR HIM AND ALL LSU PLAYERS AND I AM NOT SAYING HE IS INELIGIBLE YET, JUST THAT HE HAS WORK TO DO BEFORE HE CAN PLAY IN FALL (AS DO OTHER PLAYERS, AND THIS IS NOT RARE). Hopfully he (and all other LSU players who need credits) will make it for the fall, but we are not there yet.

OK, I will try and clarify and end this (know it was not OPs intent), I LOVE LSU and have to think all of us would be "on the same team" 95% of the time. All I am saying is
1) There are certain academic things ALL players have to pass to REMAIN eligible
2) Mett WAS eleigible for spring game based on his JC work, we KNOW this becuase he would not have had time to pass any classes yet at LSU (no one would have) from late Jan-spring game
3) HE (or any other player), MUST pass a certain nmuber of hours to be eligible for the fall
4) Mett has NOT passed enough yet to be fall eligible
5) He hopefully will (there is a current "interim" semseter in progress and another before game 1) pass enough
