Exactly. I talk to Coach Moffitt from time to time via email, and I asked him what the general attitude and feeling from the players and Coach Miles has been this spring. His response was this:

"They are out for blood this time" "There is a cold blooded energy in the air among these players that will be unleashed on the entire schedule next season. Next season, everyone pays."

I remember reading that somewhere and I mostly read stuff here so I it was probably posted here or maybe dandydon.

I remember thinking Mett was not allowed to do much in the spring game because they didn't want Mett to look better than the seniors. Think about it Mett didn't do squat and Les brought in JJ at the end traditionally when the scrubs would play.

Starters were mostly held out of the second half this year but last year the third string quarterback (mett) had his playing time cut short so JJ could get more playing time.

Mett was the best last year all year. I thought everyone knew it.

Before the NC game I said if Les really wants to coach this game to win Mett would start and then finish the second half with JJ. Theory being that Alabama isn't prepared to go up against a real qb. Wouldn't have planned much for Mett. After we have a small lead and the Alabama defense has been worn down then put in JJ so that give alabama an extra man to guard and we can run the ball better and grind it out.

No big leap of faith to know that Mett would be more effective than JJ when facing a fresh Alabama defense. No big leap of faith that JJ would present a better run game late when we might actually be able to run against bama.

Instead the first half offense was so pathetic that we had to face a barely warmed up alabama defense in the second half! They hardly were on the field.

History doesn't agree. Maybe vs anybody but Gumps.
Not sure what he might have done, other than the egg laid in game of century, to get so many splinters.
We'll find out one day.

I think he should've been in the gameplan for all the other contests 11-5 up to 1-9, though. If nothing else to have him sharp in case JJ went down and to keep Nicky guessing.
Miles showed his hand by not playing him.
After the comeback skulldragging of UGA, maybe he was overconfident and figured my 11 vs your 11.....come at me bro.

JJ shite the bed in every spring game. I don't even need to see stats to say he was probably the worst QB on the field every time

Mett should have been the starter, we all know LM plays favorites when he can, especially JJ due to whatever reasons he loves the dude.

If the Auburn QB can do it, other first year Div 1 and JC, like someone said Mc Carron beat us and won it all and a first year starter??? But no, LSU's new QB never knows shite or enough to warrent play. That is horseshite and LM talk. Mett would have brought us a MNC last year, esp starting him the final game.

How can anyone support JJ for how we totally regressed in the Ga and final game (First downs??? )

Anyway, I WILL NEVER FORGET what numnuts did to us and quit and the team, LSU, and the fans...and himself

I think that is more "talk" from LM jock sniffers who think if you question the man's decision you are stomping puppies to death.

Mett should have been the starter last year, and I felt that way pre-season. Oh well.

I have great respect for Lee and would have liked to see him more but... all his prior games VS Alabama Lee's stats were:

1 TD 7 INTS

Miles choice was "rock and a hard place" that IS GONE NOW!

HB, Reid, D and finally back to a real QB, with great RB's, OL, Sp Teams.

I am pumped and quite hopeful...

Translation: Les Miles cost LSU the National Championship by refusing to pull Jordan Jefferson out of the game and put Jarrett Lee in to at least TRY to get some kind of effective passing game going.

He tried that the first Alabama game. Didn't work. Could have tried Mett, if anyone, the second game.

This all reminds me of Trindon Holiday trying to field punts while Patrick Peterson sat on the bench. Still cannot figure out how a college coach could make that decision.

maybe because its probably a good thing to have the fastest guy in college football returning kicks. but i can't be 100% sure

and why the hell are we discussing last years spring game?

Any one at QB in the NC game would have been better than JJ! Probably the cheer leader could have thrown the ball better. So Les lets Mett ride the bench

yes, because replacing the #2 punt returner in the country with a guy who is battling cramping issues at the time is always a good idea...
