This team isn't doing shite this year. The sec tourney is meaningless. But yeah, let's rag his arm because frick his future amirite. Lane Mestepey would agree.

Guess I had overly-ambitious counting of days.
It's just, if we lose Weds, I can see us not hosting a regional. We'd have to make a run thru the loser's bracket and we just don't have the starting pitchers for that, would have to out-score everyone.

SEC tournament is meaningless. Throw him once on Thursday and save him until game 2 of the regional

Did you see where they said that in the losers bracket you only have to win one extra game? Winning games against good RPI teams will help regardless of SEC tournament finish. 2-2 is the same no matter of winners or losers bracket.

They should call it "night's rest" instead of "day's rest". 
I tend to forget somethings as they don't come up in my life until the next season's tournament time.

I'm going take a purely selfish approach and choose not to burn him out in the SEC tournament because I want him fresh for the regional.

It's a full day of rest. You don't count days that they pitch.

Thing people need to realize is this isn't the SEC football championship. LSU can, and has been very successful in post season without winning this tourney.
Even IF LSU wins this tourney, they still won't host a SR. They are playing to secure a regional, nothing more.
LSU will go out and win at least 2 WITHOUT putting into jeopardy the rotation of pitching for when it really counts.

You can't say that to be a fact. What happens if a few national seeds lose their regional. This has happened before, although unlikely

This whole thread is conjecture. Would I bet my firstborn on it? No. But just like the SEC tourney doesn't mean much, neither do the others.
