Jesus H Christ. Do you know what hate means. The word is overused. Some unrealistic LSU fans are upset that we didn’t go u defeated and that Daniels didn’t lead us to the promised land. For the most part this is true but there certainly are some irrational people who wanted him to leave the team for the NFL and are blaming him for Boutte leaving (which is absurd given the timing of Boutte's declaration)

This thread is a testament to our inability to see and appreciate nuance.
Of course, there could be an exception or two “haters” but the point remains a discussion on who is equipped to handle the starting job at LSU moving forward is a valid one.
To pretend that any criticism is “hate” is absurd. It is also worth noting that a few exceptions does not disprove the rule. “No one hates” is not literal! It’s an idiom to counter a broader narrative.
A figure of speech, that counters the everyone hates JD narrative.
Nuance is our friend. We can show a level of grace to those we differ with.
This is coming from a JD supporter, and a fan of Nuss.
Two thoughts can be held in our heads simultaneously that are not contradictory.

Daniels looked good against Georgia 16-24-1 int- 1 TD playing on one leg. Offense wasn't the issue that day. No excuses for Arky and A&M. I look forward to QB competition and year 2 under BK

I agree with this statement. AND, when you accuse the other side of blindly loving Daniels for defending his successes, it works the same way (not saying you do this). Both reek of bias and are impossible to reason with.

I’d add, wanting better qb play isn’t an endorsement of Nuss.
Daniels’ play should have absolutely lost the Auburn and Arky games. His play was not good enough to win you a shootout in college station.
LSU is playing with fire thinking similar offensive results will work. Not often you can count on Auburn being in total disarray and Arkansas missing their starting qb and backup not being able to throw a forward pass.

I disagree. There seem to be a select few that indeed to hate JD. There also seem to be a select few that hate Nuss. That said, there are also a lot of folks that hate neither, but have a very strong opinion on whom they feel is the better QB. The problem I have is that those opinions are based on only partial information. I trust our coaches to make the right choice.

There are so many “ifs” and speculation. IF he has reached his ceiling… IF Nuss protects the ball better… IF he doesn’t learn to take chances on receivers in 1 on 1 coverage.
We are all guessing what might happen. It will all play out in time regardless of what we think, feel, believe or “know”.
As I said in one of the other 50 threads on the QB — JD seems to handle this all better than some fans. No need for fans to get their panties in a bunch
