It was actually encouraging that our rag-tag pitching only allowed 4 runs. We were so close. Think about how our starters will do against their pitching committees.

Its disappointing but most knew with the pitching situation we would have had to steal game 1 and we almost did. CPM would certainly like to have the 4th inning back and we kept it close despite some blunders on the basepaths. LSU seems like the better team even after the loss

Nope

Witnessing UFs offense 1st hand outweighs the loss. Unless they summon joeboo, I like our chances a lot

I think most LSU fans weren't very optimistic about our chances tonight.

With Poche and Lange available the next two nights, we're feeling good about this.

maybe, but you never go into a series thinking you're going to punt one of the three games. losing 4-3 is the same result as losing 15-1.

we don't have Lange unless Poche and LSU win tomorrow night

And it will have the same outcome as after the 13to1 whipping that we got from OSU last week....This LSU team has great resiliency....

I'm pissed that CPM left Reynolds in to walk those last two batters, and I'm pissed that Bush replaced him. He gives up nearly 2 WPIP. At that point (when Bush entered) it was all but guaranteed that Florida would score at least 2. They got all 3 in.

CPM planned on losing this game.

CPM announced early on that Lange would start game 3.

Lange is 4 strikeouts from the LSU all time strikeout record. There is no way we end this season without CPM giving Lange another shot at that record.

His only other choice is to bring Lange in as a middle reliever in game 2.

This. Team that wins game 1 winds up winning the series over 70% of the time. It's a big gamble.

Actually, if it weren't for bad fielding decisions by Kramer and Watson, Florida wouldn't have scored a run that inning.
