Bluuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeee
Can't wait to see him get a full season of action. He honestly reminds me of a young Arian Foster.

I mean...I'm all for routing for former Tigers succeeding in the NFL, but
1) Its preseason
2) It was a 1 yard run
3) He came very, very close to fumbling

except the ball didn't even move until he was already flat on the ground...
Just pointing out that he and Hilliard are both having good preseasons. O'Brien has spoken very highly of both of them. He has praised Blue's patience in the backfield in letting the plays develop and the holes open. Blue said that working out with AP this offseason helped him in reading blocks.
I think Blue is going to be a very consistent back with Foster out and will have multiple 100yd games. If Hilliard makes the cut, he will be the goal line back and 3rd down back. Excited for these 2 former tigers.

I think your definition of third down back and mine are different. Are you saying Hilliard will be the short yardage back?
And in no way is Alfred Blue in the same stratosphere as Arian Foster, who has arguably been the best RB in the NFL over the past 5 seasons.
I love LSU and I love seeing former Tigers play on Sundays, but come on. I hope both succeed and both have long, injury free careers.

While Hilliard may never be the #1 back for any team, I see him in the league 8-10 yrs with playing time every game.

Blue is going to be a very valuable backup and maybe a starter. If he can work on his balance and improve his power while keeping his speed he could be a franchise RB. He had an ACL tear in college but otherwise he was lightly used. He's had more carries with the Texans in one season than he had in 2012 and 2013 for LSU it seems.
The way he's developed since his first year is remarkable too. He's gotten much better at reading his blocks and hitting the right hole. I expect to see him break more and more big runs as the season go on.
And as always, Hail to Hahnville High.

I grabbed Blue in the tenth round of my FF draft. I think he's going to produce, especially with Foster out.
