Hunter? and Rasco to start but no real back ups.

The loss of that guy from shreveport will really hurt us next year.

We are losing M&M as they are both top ten picks in the NFL draft. But we also lose their backups
Chancey A. and Edwards. that means we are losing
1st and 2nd at both DE's. Miles needs to look at the Juco level and make sure we get Beckwith he looks like another Mingo.

Oh yeah? I guess your evaluation is better than Chavis.

DE and DT depth is scary for next year. Hopefully, someone like Herron can step up and be the DE version of Kwon.

Supposedly Allen was going to play this year before he got hurt, and then they redshirted Maclin.

Maclin played as a freshmen, but I get your point about not a lot of proven depth. I just think its a tad bit better than you are leading on.

His offer list says he's a player. Don't know why you are dissing kid you know zero about.

Did you just really ask Maximus if he was being optimistic about next year?

OP dissing him maybe because he is a white DE?

Guess he never heard of JJ Watt or Jared Allen.

potentially scary bad

a positive is that whoever replaces Mingo will probably make more plays on the first series of the first game then Mingo has all year.

Yeah, it really sucks that we lost that guy. That guy would have been a real impact player for LSU next year. I don't know what they're going to do without that guy. That guy will probably end up as one of the best college players of all time.

Seriously though, while the d-line will be lacking some experience, the depth will be fine.

I think the coaches will try to mold him into a Lavar Edwards DT/DE tweener (Lacouture that is)

top 10 picks

This is false. No way do these 2 grade out as top 10. MAYBE they both becomse first round, but I doubt it.
The think with Mingo is he will play LB in the pros. Big Sam (early second round grade)due to lack of technique and bull rush strength. You saw it late in the game last night, but the Tackles in the pro's are a hell of a lot quicker, stronger and better at using your momentum to move you in the direction they want you to go.
I think Mingo stays to get more size and strength if he is smart.

I've never seen someone fly past the QB and out of my screen faster than Mingo. That dude is fast.
