First off, this is not a bashing of the offense. Nearly 600 total yards and almost 400 rushing. LSU moved the ball at will but it is just crazy that not one reception for WR's. Obviously, we won't win in 2 weeks if that happens but maybe this will give the Bama D more to think about...covering backs and TE's in the passing game.

Again, 3 SEC wins in a row is a great thing after Troy. Just hope the WR produce more the remainder of the year.

Our Wrs have to catch balls that hit them in the hands. I believe it was Sullivan who dropped one in the end zone. I cant remember all of them, but our WRs had a few drops.

Gage dropped one that almost hit him in the face. That's the second time this season at least.

I'd give the corner credit for that one. Sullivan hauled it in but he knocked it out.

You are right and Gage dropped another. But Etling only had 4 incompletions and those are 2. So we didn't really even throw to the WR's. Its like giving up on the run to early in a game. Again, the game didn't really call for us to throw that much because we ran on them at will.

Maybe we could have worked on some things up 20+ points. Nice win though.

We used to bitch about the TEs and RBs not being targeted when they're open...

I was happy with last night. Now future opponents will have to scheme for that, meaning our WRs will draw more single coverage.

I'm not really complaining. Can't we have both? WR and TE & RB's catching the ball in a single game. I actually said Bama will now need to account for TE's and RB's in original post.

I'm not sure how many times this happened but sometimes the TE or RB line up in the slot which is really like passing to a WR. There were quite a few plays with Guice lined up as a WR. It also forces them to cover everyone on the field. Canada must have seen something as a weakness to lean in this direction. Obviously it worked.

Saban doesn't adapt well to change.

Run for almost 400 on OM, Bama preps to stop the run with blitzes and safeties. Instead Canada challenges the secondary with a confident Etling.

FanATICS seriously. There's one game and one game only LSU circles on the schedule and that's bama. Do you honestly think Canada hasn't been planning for Bama all season?

I'm calling it now. Bamas focus on UGA will let LSU surprised them with a rb and down field passing attack. Bama may win but everyone will look much differently on Canada and LSU after this game.

they took what the defense was giving and in this game it as the TE's and RB's. I'm just happy that we have an OC who knows that TE's and RB's are eligible recievers

He's been non existent in 3 of 4 SEC games. I mean it's not that shocking

On 5-7 step drops Etling was scrambling for his life.

It's a trade off. Short and intermediate passes to TE and RB or put extra pressure on OL to pass block.

Hard to argue with the play calling last night but wish we'd get the WR's more involved. And I don't mean jet sweeps.

LSU only threw the ball 13 times last night. Obviously the emphasis and focus of the gameplan was on the run (54 attempts).

I would expect, at least hope, to see more balance in two weeks.
