Just a hunch as I posted in the thread about Coach Treloar leaving, but believe it will be Ronald Dupree. A great Tiger and a great future coach in the college game. Great ambassador and he can still ball .

Also best of luck to Coach Treloar, he is doing a personal move that will pay him more, and he just enjoys he pro game more. No way he wanted it to go this way, anybody thats has ever met him knows he would not just intentionally hurt the LSU program like this. He stayed some years after receiving offers for more money and better jobs, once a Tiger, for better or for worse, always a Tiger.

This makes no sense. He would never do what he just did?

No, there is a reason to every move, he is not first chair and for someone with his experience it makes sense. I personally dont fault him for taking a better situation. Sorry just from seeing how it appears to be and the type of job he landing, more money and its the NBA....

Oh, I understand the move completely. But by his making said mover, he is hurting LSU and there a no way around it. So by saying "he would never intentionally hurt LSU like this" is total bs. Yes he would, and he did it last night.

Your right bad wording on my part. What I meant what was, as some can attest to on bere, there were years he stuck around here when he didnt have to because he enjoyed Baton Rouge (shocker ) and his family enjoyed it. He genuinely cares about the program but the move he is making is one of those offers where even CJJ would say take it.

So yes it hurts our program in the very short term, because there is not a single basketball fan that would not want Coach Treloar on their college basketball staff, but just like if Coach Raymond were to get a HC gig, which he should and will very soon, he owes LSU nothing if it isnt after the start of the season.

He did nothing malicious like a chavis, or any way is saying LSU is to blame, so yea I would cut him some slack and wish him the best and his family.

Shite happens. Move on. It's business. Have no idea about Dupree as an assistant. I'll need to research.

I'd prefer Livingston, but I don't know if that's possible or not.

It's not. He has a lucrative basketball academy or something in Australia. Word is (Local sports talk radio) he wouldn't come here as an assistant, it would be a cut in pay.

Not sure if Dupree is the type of X and O person CJJ is looking for although I like his passion. The bench was much more into the games last season and I believe it had to do with his energy. He was up and supporting the team almost every play.

You don't get to have it both ways. If you are making a personal move than you don't get to get lauded for "loving LSU" and "always [being] a Tiger." I didn't think it was possible for a coach to screw someone almost as bad as Billy Donovan did, but in terms of assistant coaches, this was the equivalent of that move.

LSU may end up with someone better or just as good ? He may possibly be helping with the new hire. I'm sure they talked about it, JJ and himself so hopefully it turns out to be a better hire and situation for both parties.

Do you know what the word intentionally means in the context of that post?

Do you think he made the move with the intention of hurting LSU? That is what you are arguing.

General intent versus specific intent, bro. He did what he did and he intended the natural and predictable outcomes of that. What you are arguing is that we don't know whether or not Treloar made his move specifically to frick over LSU with malice.

Is it too late in the offseason to go after Butch Pierre?

Dude, you are butchering the English language to fit your narrative. He did not "intentionally hurt LSU." Did it hurt LSU? Yes, but that was a secondary result of his intention to accept a job which progressed his career.

It needs to be an X/O guy, Pierre is more recruiting.

What about Pelphrey, Fla cut him loose with new staff and he didn't go with Donovan, that could be a solid bench coach.
