It's better than Helmet Mike, but still way too busy. Needs more simplification and should be more stylized, with less of a literal tiger look.

Toonces wins championships.
I actually don't mind it, but it's so close to the old one (on helmets) that they should have just gone back to that one. This one is perfectly symetrical, btw. Just looks like something my daughter would draw in art class.

This is nothing new. It has been used since the late 60's on thru for various things and even into the 80's it was painted on the bass drum heads in TGBFT. That said, I have always thought it was thumbs up!!!

Exactly. They just took the helmet logo and modified it a bit. I typically hate talk of changing the helmets. But if they were to use this tiger head and maybe even the "Geaux" font for the letters, it would be close enough to what we have now that it wouldn't bother me a bit.

That's not the same logo. The tiger head there is not symmetrical and a bit more busy. LSU has used several variations of a tiger head logo that were all similar to the helmet logo.

I've heard the reason they went away from the helmet tiger is because it was difficult to put on merchandise. So the symmetrical modification makes perfect sense to me.

I like except for the chicken wire, lol. Is he busting into a chicken coop? That'd be a scary view from inside of a chicken cage if I were a chicken.

That looks better, but Tigers don't have yellow noses and white tongues. Can't any graphics people get that correct?

So if by chance this isn't a new logo LSU plans to use, someone in the know should inform LSU that the faithful approve this logo. New logo = new merch = more $$$ for LSU.
