What they need to do is wait until after the necropsy and creamation and create a small pedestal that can sit inside the trailer that holds the urn. That way mike can truly take his last ride around tiger stadium.

Somebody was telling me how Memphis used to have a Tiger a long time ago and "as a sign of respect" when it died, they placed its body in the cage and drove it around during the pregame...who approves that?

That doesn't seem great. Am I off base though with the urn thing? I don't see that as disrespectful but maybe I'm wrong.

there is something to this, however it reeks too much of Admiral Yamamoto's funeral in Tokyo...

stick with the empty trailer...

Due to Mike passing from a rare cancerous tumor, his body will probably studied for some time before any cremation takes place

No thanks. That would suck all the energy out of the stadium before it even starts.

Before I'd put Mike in the trailer for one last ride, I would be more in favor of spreading his ashes across the field where he would always be with us.

Mike didn't really like to be in that cage though.

Coach O needs to be escorted out in that cage as he leads the team onto the field.

Just do it at the beginning of the 2nd half then when all the energy is gone anyway.

I like the sentiment, but I think they replace the turf every year.

His necropsy has been performed and the samples needed for studying have been collected for further examination. His body (minus the samples collected) has probably already been cremated as well.

He wasn't fond of the trailer, why make him do that now? After the season is over, bury his urn under the Eye Of The Tiger at mid field where he belongs to haunt opposing players FOREVER LSU!

If Mike did not like getting in the trailer then why put his ashes in there? If they want to display his ashes put them in his habitat, his home.
