The TAF and the other money powers at LSU know a big time DC must be hired before the bowl game. LSU fans will not travel 500 miles to see another Peveto disaster, but a new DC will bring the fans across the country out of curiosity if nothing else. Follow the money guys, you know that.

Understand what you're saying but I just don't think its a factor at this point.

new dc = more money
old dc = less money

hmmmm... I wonder what TAF will do?

i wouldn't be surprised if we do clean house on monday. we need to as to not get behind in the search for a dc. I believe we have one right now waiting for the firing as after the ole miss game the mallveto exp. ended

Are you sure your "sources" didn't later turn out to be some inanimate object on a street corner. Saayyyy....a palm tree???

I ask only because I believe we may have the same drunken sources

Some of the best DC's are still coaching either in college or the pro's. It might be difficult to get one in before the end of the year, and less likely that he will have any impact on the game plan.

a understanding from the top that some things need to change would be huge... hell firing those two would be better and yes I believe it would sell more tickets.

It certainly would help the fans feel a little better about their team.

If they hire a new DC they aren't going to use him for the bowl game, that would be utterly ridiculous. If there's one thing Miles can do right its take all the lessons he's learned throughout the season and digest them in 4 weeks to the point that he is able to obliterate bowl opponents. Changing DC's at this moment would change the defense - its too late to learn a new DC's way of doing things

I don't care who we play in the bowl game. Mark my word - we'll destroy them.

You really think we could destroy Ga Tech in the Peach bowl? A team that runs an offense that demands discipline on defense to stop? Sorry - I have zero faith that the existing defensive staff can get this done.

Not as bad as we destroyed Miami. The score will be like 51-31. Yes the defense will perform pitifully. I think JJ, LaFell, and Williams are going to whop some arse though.

Remember, some teams have regular season games and conference championship games this weekend. They won't be allowing top notch assistants to discuss lateral moves this week.
