My son went to LSU baseball camp when Smoke was the coach. They served the kids peanut butter and jelly at lunch. I remember a lady there saying this was an LSU Baseball Camp tradition from Skip's days. I laughed and said to myself this wasn't tradition but just a cheap way to feed a lot of kids. Maybe they should charge $8 for PB&J at the games.

Weird bump there. Anyway, I was pretty dissapointed at the concessions at the Box this year.

Not one, but two of my friends bit into an undercooked chicken strip.

Same here.

After again comparing what is available at the Box versus at Hoover Met, it really makes the concession options at Alex Box look bad.

Not only quality and number of choices, but size of servings and prices as well.

This past weekend I ordered nachos and when the lady handed them to me, I declined to take them and asked for my money back. I counted about 12 chips in the tray.

She looked shocked that anyone would care or question what they were serving.

surprises me how terrible the general concessions are there considering the food we have all around the city

By comparison I went to A&M 's park and all they had were the typical hotdogs and hamburgers plus Chik-F-lay (sp) and some kind of pizza rolls which the Aggies were real proud of. Pizza rolls were sold out by the 2nd inning.

if they were Double Dave's (likely) then at least that's tolerable. them farmers are proud of Double Dave's for some reason. It'd not bad.

Anyone care to verify my assumptions below?

So LSU supplies the product, menu, equipment to cook/keep hot/or cold the product. Lets these third party church groups, non-profit orgs, etc, come in and run the stands. And basically says, this is how much product we gave you so we expect X amount of dollars back and you get to keep the rest?

amirite??

If so, are they doing this bc they can make more money by letting these non-profit groups run the stands bc im assuming if LSU just straight up sold "spots" to 3rd party vendors let say a Pahrains for example. Then in that case it wouldn't be as profitable

I bought $4 sunflower seeds for my kid at the Thurs Ole miss game.
Went back to the fri game with the same bag of seeds, ticket taker would not let me bring them back in. I told him I bought them last night and he still refused so I went to another gate and put them in my pocket before entering.

I even told them last time that I didn't want much ice in my drink and then sure enough she fills the whole thing up with ice and my drink is watered down before I get to my seat
