we should really use more creativity and passing schemes in a run oriented attack similar to ndsu. Philosophy is pretty much the same, but they do more creative plays

Thought the same thing when I flipped to the game. Their QB is spot on with both touch and long throws. We need ours to develop to that point.

We win 9 games a year!!!

What more do you want?!!

A championship? You can't win one of those every 5 years!!!

Quit complaining!!

I don't think most of us have a problem with basing the offense in a pro-style set. The main problem is what you mention...creativity or a lack thereof. The formations and plays that LSU runs is largely one dimensional and predictable. I formation hand off to the RB going left or a 2 WR deep route.

There's zero ingenuity to it. Very few surprises for a defense. That's the problem. It's as basic and vanilla as a pro style offense can get.

Precisely the point. THis is NDSU's backup QB and they're rolling.

It's good playcalling and creativity. They actually shotgun pass and throw over the middle of the field. They are very run oriented, but do more than just toss dive for the run game.

With our athletes (see Guice run vs. TAMU) we can break some huge runs if we just open up our repertoire in the run game a little bit. Add in some counters, toss sweeps, jet sweeps, fakes, read options, etc. Those plus a few well timed passes a la NDSU will open up the middle for Buga to eat.

And they probably pay their OC and HC a quarter of what LSU pays.

What a joke.

Stanford runs almost exactly like we do, but they do sometimes spread it out. I believe they have 2 TE sets too... We just need to change a few things (add misdirection/motion) and also a few quirks to the passing game, such as quick slants/ wheel routes. Changing approx 2 things will be INCREDIBLY helpful for our offense.

Lack of creativity has been a LSU hallmark since 2009. It's probably a big reason why the passing game is so awful every year. The LSU offense is truly a shitshow. It's mind boggling.

I agree...and I hope for the best. I hope it's not the 2 things he's been giving everyone that dares to question the offense.

I gotta stress the fact that just because another team runs the I Form, doesn't make it a similar offense

Thanks, but I was giving a nod to needing some tweaks, per another post. I noticed somebody gave you a down vote right after you replied though. People love to stir it I guess.

I'm always amazed how posters like you can just make up stuff about games we all watched on TV.

The main problem number one is QB and Alabamas D is designed to stop it IMHO.

Other than those two it's perfect.

Since we are stuck with Miles, our only hope is that Cameron gets to run his own offense without schematic input from Miles. But since that won't happen, guess what that means?

or, just find out who they are recruiting for QB, and go after them.

We could have the best and this staff would frick it up.

We just can't coach up a passing game.
