Nice to see you're as dumb on the Rant as you are on the Poli board.

We are getting the results we are paying for IMO.

Not more. Not less.

I think the biggest thing that jumps out at me is Notre Dame's being 64 on the list.

Les should be happy about Charlie Strong is on the list so that he's not the most overpaid coach

Yep. He's stealing every dime of it! LSU bit hook, line, and sinker on Ar-Kansas's bogus lie that they really wanted him to be their next head coach! Now LSU is stuck with him until 2019!

72 coaches make $1million a year?

My God!
I remember when $1million dollar coaches were very rare.

ULL pays their coach $1million.

Ferentz is below Les. Sumlin is debatable on being a better coach. He wasn't left Saban's players

Looks like Leslie is due for a raise.

would be willing to bet that if his agent starts a rumor about the UF job(ala the AR-Kansas debacle,) Alleva would try to make it happen

you're a joke. Sumlin win nothing at A&M and got $5 mil a year. Arguing he isn't more overpaid than Les makes you an idiot.

No. I just think we are getting "Top 7" results over the course of his career. Not this year obviously, but certainly over the course of his career. Even looking at 2008 til now (all Miles' players), we have had top 7 results. And he's the 7th highest paid coach. So we are getting a market value return on our investment.

7th highest paid HC, highest paid staff = 3 or more losses per year

Nice job

Final Poll since 2008:

2008 - unranked
2009 - 17
2010 - 8
2011 - 2
2012 - 14
2013 - 14

2014 will be even worse than 2012 & 2013. Hardly top 7 worthy and a great return on investment. Only 08 & 09 didn't meet expectations for Les, however there is a trend beginning the past 3 years and it suggests Les should be somewhere 14 or after.

Please name 7 programs with a better end of season average ranking over that time frame. I'll help you out. Bama, Oregon, Ohio State, Oklahoma.. Who else? FSU maybe? I don't think there's anyone else.

So we are either the 5th or 6th best program. So he's definitely not overpaid. Like I said. We are getting market value.

ETA: If you want to isolate it to the last 3 seasons, then yes, he's underperforming.

Kelly's salary isn't released and so that is an inaccurate number. As a private institution, Notre Dame, like USC, doesn't have to publish it's salary information.
