National Media: It is not Brian Kelly they hate. It is the south and LSU

Over the last couple of days, I have seen multiple national talking heads bashing Brian Kelly and his move to LSU. It has nothing to do with Brian Kelly. They all loved him when he was at ND. It is strictly their disdain for LSU, SEC, and the south. It shatters their reality to see this kind of move and takes them down a notch. They think they are better than us will probably always will.
All we can do is ignore them, go win another national championship, and drink their tears (Quinn's are the tastiest). As for our SEC brethren, it is strictly fear that has taken hold of them. They know what is coming.

When Whatsisname left Oklahoma, they were like "Well yeah...USC...Los Angeles." But when Kelly left 3 days later "This is everything wrong with the game."

That is fair. Alabama is in the Blue Blood Club. I was more or less referencing their opinions of Kelly moving from ND to LSU. As if he is an idiot for doing so. They know that in 2021, LSU is by far the better job but they will not concede that point due to their inherent biases.

Does Bama capitulate in some way? Do they just love Saban? Does Bama feel like an anomoly? Did the national powers that be decide to pick one southern school with quality to accept and then shun the rest? Is Bama too good over the past decade-ish to ignore, but the rest of us they'll trash?

They have to accept Alabama because they have simply become too successful to put on the same footing as the rest of the south. They are the premiere program in CFB, they respect the Bama program and give it its due because they are forced to.
Although I believe If Brian Kelly went to Alabama in 2006 in the same manner, they likely would be shitting themselves as well
I also think that if he went to Florida instead of LSU the blowback would not be as bad

They’re ok with one or two schools being elite but LSU breaks their threshold. Louisiana has an especially inept look in their eyes.

Many are jealous and annoyed at the 21st century success of SEC Football. They are tired of the SEC. So, when one of the best non-SEC HC's leaves for an SEC school, they lash out. Their objections are IRRELEVANT and of no concern to us.

Louisiana ranks 49-50 in just about everything in the USA. Most of the nation looks down on Louisiana so when we are successful in winning at sports, coaches, and so on they hate it. We are not supposed to be able too.
2019 team was so dominant they had no choice but to accept us as the best team ever. That’s left them all seriously butt hurt.
Going forward every National Champioship team will be compared the that 2019 team, and not a ND, USC, Alabama, OSU and so on.

They aren't just jealous of the success, they think Southerners are undeserving of it. We are low brow and pretty much the only way they will begrudgingly give you respect is if you force them to by having unmatched success
as far as they are concerned, We do not deserve a successful intelligent coach like Kelly from a premier northeastern brand in CFB. What we deserve as dumb hillbilly oafs is "one of us", a dumb oaf like Orgeron. We need to stay in our lane
Northerners/Midwesterners/west coasters most definitely look down on southerners as unintelligent hicks

I think it’s more non-traditional programs like LSU. They gave us the talent part due to location but now we’re buying their coaches. Not the poors they thought we are. It’s alarming for them.

Everybody associates Louisiana with being the lowest in education and health. They think the average louisianian is just fat and dumb, and that's probably the case. What they don't account for is the above agerage Louisianian that is smarter than them to begin with. The reason Louisiana is the way it is because of bad politics that led to brain drain. We're hardly all fat and dumb, they're just too stupid to see past that.

Remember those making the rankings are the ones that get to set the criteria. Louisiana has nothing to be ashamed of. It is a great place and a great culture, unique to the rest of the United States. I've lived in the Midwest for almost 30 years. I've worked in 2 multi-national corporations and I'm currently a partner in a large national law firm. I frequently visit Boston, New York and DC. Louisiana will always be special. It is family, culture, community. The people are generally happy and value what is important in life. Those who are materially successful but unhappy tend to think those who are happy but less materially successful as stupid to make themselves feel better. I'm painting with a broad brush, but I believe there is a lot of truth in those statements. There is no food, no culture, no people like those in Louisiana. We'll keep being who we are and win national championships and the media will just need to deal with that.
