Furniss played 4 years to Belle's 3 and Furniss played with gorilla ball bats, hence why he couldn't cut it in the majors.

Furniss just got inducted. There is major Furniss wood going on right now. And rightfully so.

What do you think Belle played with

Look talent and college production are two different things.

Wtf are you talking about?

this was your post

But I think the fall from Bregman to the next SS is further than the fall of Furness to another 1B/ DH is all.

That is just an incorrect statement. SS is probably the deepest and most competitive historical position we have. 1st base, not so much. There's basically Furniss and Brad Hawpe. Sure, you could make the argument that Bregman was the best while at LSU (I disagree, but whatever), but the gap is not big at all even if he is the best.

At least use proper grammar. Just FWIW. Bregman was not excluded from list. He was included. FWIW

He was excluded from the list of LSU players you could pick as top player because OP put him in the trio of exclusion, sportsfan.

Belle's bats weren't juiced like that time period. Are u serious?

"LSU coach Skip Bertman coined the phrase ``gorilla ball'' for the power-hitting style of baseball his teams used to win titles in 1991, '93, '96 and '97."

It was largely the same bat... Gorilla Ball happened because Skip took full advantage and recruited a bunch of power hitting first basemen and put them at pretty much every position, knowing that any error could easily be overcome with a 2 run homer.

Go back and look at how many errors the 96 team committed in the CWS.

They were plenty juiced bud. Very similar bats actually.

Jesus, you're like a woman. YOU ARE RIGHT! Just tell me what name you want me to put up in the title.

Furness best. I get it.

Also you can make the argument about the bats from Skip's era. About the fences closer; and your claim would mean shite.

It really wasn't the point of the thread. But carry on.
