So, Wiki, why Vandals? Is vandalism a big problem there?

of course. Lots of high tech jobs in the Boise area. The cost of living is kinda low here so you won't make as much as other places but it all balances out

So can I move there if I own less than 18 guns? I'm not in a militia, but willing to join.

Oh yeah. I believe Idaho has the second largest Mormon population, behind Utah of course

There's still a pretty strong libertarian streak running through the state though, although I do miss real titty bars

rabbit you must have missed the recent post with the history lesson. the vandal name actually came from the tribes of barbarians (called the vandals) that used to pillage and sack the catholics in rome. how a college in america adopted a nickname based on tribes of wild barbarians from what is now germany back in the middle ages beats me. it is unusual to say the least. maybe a history prof on pyote named them and it stuck.

Good friend of mine teaches at Boise State
Sawtooth & Bitterroot Ranges are awesome
Sand Point is probably 100% white
Ernest Hemingway is buried near Sun Vally
The whole State is pretty much gorgeous.
Stanley can be real interesting on a Saturday night.

Thanks, GrandDad. I missed the history lesson. Although I prefer to think of them as having a high incidence of vandalism.

All I know is that a friend of mine I believe (rumor has it) caught the ghey and moved to Idaho. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

It's funny because it's true.

Stanley is great too, but what's so interesting about Saturday night there? The last time we stayed there was a Saturday night, but we're losers and were probably in bed by 10pm.
