My thoughts moving forward...

Anyone pressing the panic button or questioning why Mainieri is still coaching needs to reveulate their life and the sports they follow.
The way/ways LSU lost Friday and Sunday won't happen again this season, in fact LSU beat themselves in both games. Does not take anything away from Kentucky they played scrappy baseball the entire weekend.
Poche and Lange aren't going anywhere. Godfrey may have one more chance but I'd like to see Bain get a shot if we're listing potential candidates.
The lineup is as solid a lineup in all of college ball this year. What I do hope is Mainieri starts to go with a consistent lineup card, that's all I ask.
Using up Stallings for more than one inning Friday night was a huge mistake and we all saw that come to fruition this afternoon.
Basically in a nutshell if the base hit doesn't hit Bregman's foot Friday and if Foster fields that shallow flare like a single LSU sweeps.
It's March, this team still has a favorable schedule the rest of the way. Remember in '09 LSU had 1 sweep 1 losing series and won the eight remaining series, they weren't ten run ruling teams in conference.

Fraley being out could throw a wrench in this request

I remember 08 when a lot of people quit on LSU baseball and then they went on that ridiculous run late.

It will, also depends on if Fraley is a day to day or weeked to week.

April 23-25. That's where we can all draw conclusions. The only concern I have after kentucky is if foster can handle the hero to zero.

So Mainieri is going to magically learn when and when not to bunt?

I wish I shared your optimism, but we are out-coached and out-managed far too often.

I'm the one that needs to reevaluate when PM is making bone head calls?
I can live with losing. It's baseball, you will lose. But many of his decisions in strategy situations are laughable

Good stuff. I'm ready for the light to come on for Godfrey, and then this team turns top 3 imo. I hate that Latz won't be able to contribute

More times than not, Mainieri is out-managing the other team.
