Elmer Fudd said last during his interview with Tracy wolfson and I quote "only we decide where we finish"

Honestly, I think Miles did a pretty good job of coaching this game. He had the team fired up. We had a great offensive game plan in the first half. We pushed Bama around on both sides of the ball in the 1st quarter. It isn't his fault we fumbled at the goal line and snapped the ball when Mett wasn't ready.

This game was lost on those 2 plays. You can't make those mistakes on the road in the SEC and win. Especially against Bama.

I like how our expectations all of a sudden are low. Just thankful to win more than 8 games. Thankful to just get a bowl bid. Wow!!!!!!! Here is the bottom line. Les Miles is a good recruiter not a great recruiter. He is also just an average coach. In the SEC West good and average doesn't get it. We got crushed in the trenches and as long as other programs are able to come in our state and take the #1 lineman in the country we are in trouble. The good thing is we are just happy to win 8 and go to a bowl so the rest doesn't matter.

Game was lost when we went 3 and out two times in a row in the second half.

1st down run.. No gain
2nd down run ..2 yards
3rd down ..imcomplete

Punt

Repeat next time.

Meanwhile Alabama runs 20 plays for 150 yards and 14 pts.
Game over.

I have no faith in Les Miles. There is no excusing it anymore.

Agree, we were embarrassed last night when it counted most.

Just curious, but why not this post after the OM embarrassment?? Why did the loss last night tip the scales??

For me it was because I watched an undisciplined o-line allowing Mett to get sacked 4 times on the final drive of the game and then watch him drag his legs trying to get off the field. I'm still completely disgusted by that and this is the first time in a long time that I've felt like this. Football is just a game among young men, but last night's o-line on that final drive was classless and sad. Yeah I know I've posted this a few times but it's obvious now that Miles has no control.

slackhouse, "This game was lost on those 2 plays"

Sorry pumpers, I couldn't resist. We were tied at 17 around 12 minutes left in the third quarter after the two fumbles, but that's why we lost. The game adjustments at half time combined with the three scoring drives and complete shut down of our offense after our field goal had nothing to do with the beat down, right. You guys are entertaining.

Les Miles is not why we lost last night.

Not by a long shot.

A university with the support, funding, and recruiting pool of LSU should never play an obvious second fiddle to anyone. No, not even the "legendary Alabama Crimson Tide".

Welcome to college athletics when your happiness can easily be influenced by 18-22 year olds.

LSU recruits itself,

Completely false. IF this were true then we would've never had the crap decade known as the 90s. LSU does not recruit itself and never will.

Alabama has a coach that is known for his discipline, his tenacity, his expectation of perfection, and winning championships.

can't argue here. It also helps to get the extra aspects of CFB falling your way as well.

I wish to God he would just move on and retire...

Who would you replace him with that would actually come to LSU? There are numerous threads on this topic and most of those coaches wouldn't leave to come to LSU. When you have a coach that averages 10+ wins a season in the best conference in CFB, you can't just randomly insert any CFB coach and expect the same results. Thinking otherwise is irrational and foolish.

Yeah, Les Miles had nothing to do with the loss. Great insight.

or UK and arky 2007 sadly those crapfests are forgotten because we won a title that year by backing in.

And that's one more national title for Les Miles than you have credit hours.

You're a sidewalk fan who is now bashing MY school's football national championship. Absolutely pathetic. Go the frick away. You're plankton. Eat shite.
