This is why I hate OU so much. Basically, UT and OU are the same entity only in different locations. They hate each other, but they're fans are the exact same.

They always talk about how LSU has the most obnoxious fans, never give much credit (as in- we gave that game away), and think they are holier than thou. If LSU fans suck so much, why does everyone in Omaha adopt us as their "home" team? Because we're a-holes? Face it Texas- game one was an epic struggle we were fortunate to win. Game two was the best game that kid has ever and may ever pitch. Game three....the series format caught up to lightning in a bottle...

That might be for the best

They seem like an easy group to get riled up. I mean I guess the Rant is the same way but there's something special about UT damage control

Statements don't agree...

Well if you look at it, they were in it till Schimpf/Dean got hit then Ochinko had the basehit to score 2 runs.

I mean it was only a 2 run game until that point

maybe garrido should've placed the blame on not being able to score the entire second half of the game

But a 2 run lead the other team is still in it.... once it gets to point they cant tie it with 1 swing of bat its out of hand. Thats just my opinion though

Mitchell is a beast. I DO NOT want to suggest anything about Mitchell in particular. In point, I do not think his head was abnormally large, or he was bald or anything. But his athleticism was so off the charts. He was fast as hell and strong. He is no doubt a freak of nature and truly God blessed. Just seeing an atlhlete like that does make me wonder if college baseball has a drug policy that is effective in preventing steroid usage. That kid looked better than Barry Bonds did at ASU......... but Barry hadn't juiced yet. Not every future kid can be so freakishly talented, and I wonder if the college game is set up to prevent cheating? Whether college has a good testing program or not matters not really here.

I think its more interesting that a team that hadn't hit 40 homeruns the entire season came to Omaha and hit 15 included 4 from a dude who didn't hit one all year. I guess it was just the Creatine.

I love how Texas fans feel like they outplayed LSU in game 1

The response to that is the following:

LSU's top pitcher,Coleman, had a poor outing. He got down 0-2 in the count to almost every Texas batter. Then, trying to prevent walks, he tried to get a strike, but becuase he was struggling so much, he layed too many over the meat of the plate. The wind in the first 5 innings was gusting to left field. The upper winds, as indicated by the flags, showed that a routine pop-up to left field was easily carried as a home run. Texas, who is stacked with right hand batters, then were able to hit 3 of the 5 one-run home runs due to this combination of circumstances. It was not hitting prowess as much as it was capitalizing on circumstances. They made good on the opportunity. 2 of the home runs were legit, and I think one by a left hander to deep center. But 3 of the 5 were just good fortune, plain and simple. For them to say they out played us is true, because of Coleman struggling and because of mother nature. But take these 2 things into account when talking smack. It is not like they out played us or outpowered us, they just were fortunate. That is outdoor sports for you. Coaching moves, collectively and aggregately, are also fair game, both ways. I told my wife when Garrido took out Chance that that was a Phile Garner robotic move that was stupid. So what that jared was left handed when Chance was lights out. As such, take it as a mistake like a man and shut up about it. That there is the truth.

Not all UT fans are bad but in my 14 years of living in Texas I have witnessed plenty of arrogant ones. Mainly around the Texas-Oklahoma game when they call in to sports radio and put down OU. It is always personal attacks and not just who has the best team. They don't call them tea sippers for nothing. They have to look down on everyone to make themselves feel better I guess.

Also most of the illegal immigrants mowing my lawn, picking up my garbage, etc. have UT hats or shirts on. Kind of funny to me.

The difference between LSU and the other teams the Shorthorns had to play is that they couldn't come back against our defense. Once we went ahead late in both games we won, Texas wilted. AND, their D is nowhere nearly as good as our D. Mistakes by their D contributed significantly to our win. Their ogre catcher was responsible for most of them.
