You know, it's amazing how these Texass fans seem to suffer from short term memory loss, calling LSU lucky. Why it was just a couple of weeks ago that Texas was struggling to get out of their regional and then super, then narrowly pulled out victories in Omaha.

You would think after reading their posts that they were dominating people, and yet in reality, they were doing anything BUT, constantly coming from behind to beat people.

Just a little food for thought for the shorthorns to consider when running down LSU after they lost the game.

yeah, but my point is it's poor arse reasoning on his part instead of just tippin his hat and sayin they outplayed us, which he did at the end of sayin all that crap.

that is pretty funny stuff. We are the better team.

I don't think the Texas fans take into consideration that we still beat them despite the fact our Starting pitchers never brought there A games.

Longhorn mentality is that if they lose a close fought game like game one they gave it away and you were just lucky and didn't really deserve to win but if they rally and/or win a close game they made the plays and took the victory and earned it...all I heard Tuesday morning from that longhorn fan at work was how they let us win game one...

yes but the "so called got hit" comment is the issue. that is what you would expect a fan to say not a coach who has been around the game for so long. I would expect him to be mad at one of his players for voicing the same opinion on air. total classlessness. Accept the loss gracefully.
Both players were clearly hit and deserved their base. Did you here PM saying we were in it until the home plate ump allowed so many "so called strikes" in a ever roving strike zone. No becasue he has some class.

This was a sarcastic post before the game that turned out to be true.

quote:

We should thank the stars that we weren't swept. There's no way LSU doesn't explode for 9 or 10 runs tonight, especially against our depleted pitching staff. Jared Mitchell? I'm scared to look at the screen when he's in the batter's box. When he swings I flinch. Mikie Mahtook? If that name doesn't make you think of "squeal like a pig," then nothing will. LSU saved its ace. He who cannot be hit. Did you see the arse-kicking he gave Arkansas? And Arkansas is another SEC team. We wasted our home runs. We're out of them. Our small ball will give us 3 or 4 runs, but that won't be enough. We're doomed.

quote:

In addition to LSU's ace, they have Chad Jones. He's like Ricky Williams, but Ricky can't hit a curve ball much less throw one. When Jones is on the mound Visigoth State is intimidated. The magic has run out. The angels in the outfield have gone home. Anton Chigurh just flipped a coin, and we're fixing to get fricked

I love how Texas fans feel like they outplayed LSU in game 1. I want the Texas fans to remind me how many games they had a nineth inning rally just to get to that game one in the championship series???

Also, I guess having passion for a team and a state makes fans obnoxious. WOW what a tool

Anybody that has to go 25 innings to beat Boston College has no room to talk smack about anybody.

Omfg. This cannot be real. That has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Karma bit them in the arse for that post.

quote: Mitchell is a beast. I DO NOT want to suggest anything about Mitchell in particular. In point, I do not think his head was abnormally large, or he was bald or anything. But his athleticism was so off the charts. He was fast as hell and strong. He is no doubt a freak of nature and truly God blessed. Just seeing an atlhlete like that does make me wonder if college baseball has a drug policy that is effective in preventing steroid usage. That kid looked better than Barry Bonds did at ASU......... but Barry hadn't juiced yet. Not every future kid can be so freakishly talented, and I wonder if the college game is set up to prevent cheating? Whether college has a good testing program or not matters not really here.

Uh...I was thinking the same thing about one of their guys who was actually bald and had the smallest head on the biggest "beefcake" body I've ever seen. He also looked like he was 40. It looked fishy. At least Mitchell looks proportional. Not to mention he not only plays football, but SEC football. Those guys are all amazingly fast...I guess they're not used to seeing that in the Big 12.

Exactly, and narrowly pulling it out against Army with a strong 9th inning after being down 10-6 in the 8th kind of drives it home as well.

Can we see the drug test on Jungmann? I have never seen anyone pitch like that and then sit on the bench between innings like a zombie.

Wonder what they would have said if Herman Johnson stood in the batters box. I wonder if they make baseball uniforms that size?

I wonder if a guy with 0 home runs hitting 4 in 6 games doesn't look odd to them...
Could you imagine the out cry from them if Nola had come in and hit home runs are that rate?

The funniest part about this entire discussion about Mitchell is that he doesn't even drink. Not a drop of alcohol.

Oh but he does do steroids cause hes huge.
