I'm a Longhorn through and though and will alway support Texas till I die! Thank you Augie for being our coach and for getting us not only back to the CWS again, but for putting us in the position to almost win a seventh NC. We've got almost every key player back next year and we have a great shot at winning it all in 2010. On the bright side, at least we don't have to hear the "LSU, LSU, LSU, LSU" chants anymore, and we don't have to watch ESPN kiss their asses anymore. They are hands down most obnoxious fans in college sports. I have a new hated program now to go along with OU and aggy. Screw LSU and their jerkoff fans!
I guess Arizona State and Southern Miss gave Texas the games by his logic... Damn I love how fans can't see things the same way. LSU capitalized when Texas made mistakes same as Texas when Arizona/Miss made mistakes.
Texas was just beat by the better ball club, Texas was the #1 seed and had an easier road to get to CWS just like the #1 seed in basketball. I do not think they comprehend that because they say their road was "tougher."
IF I could respond to that site I would, and simply ask the poster, "Was Texas just lucky in its wins against those 2 teams, as LSU was lucky in its first win vs Texas?"
See what kind of backwards mumbo jumbo and how they spin that would be.
I have enjoyed seeing the Texas arrogance though

Last night I was talking about how beating UT makes this NC so much sweeter. It's people like this that I'm talking about.

Not really if you think about it, LSU out hit, had more walks, and more men on base, Texas just hit solo home runs but in grand scheme of things they quit dominating once Ruffin was out of game. LSU took pitches a made Texas work which led to LSU able to claw back and win. A good team does that sort of thing and I do not think its hard to comprehend but apparently I am wrong.

UT fans got pissed about everyone saying they were lucky to be there now the the shoe is on the other foot and they're the better team. Awesomeness
your incredibly "deep" bullpen is what let you down. You were not the better team because you couldn't close it out in game 1

Mitchell is a beast. I DO NOT want to suggest anything about Mitchell in particular. In point, I do not think his head was abnormally large, or he was bald or anything. But his athleticism was so off the charts. He was fast as hell and strong. He is no doubt a freak of nature and truly God blessed. Just seeing an atlhlete like that does make me wonder if college baseball has a drug policy that is effective in preventing steroid usage. That kid looked better than Barry Bonds did at ASU......... but Barry hadn't juiced yet. Not every future kid can be so freakishly talented, and I wonder if the college game is set up to prevent cheating? Whether college has a good testing program or not matters not really here.

The entire LSU team was on steroids according to Texas fans coming into CWS.
No team should be able to hit the amount of home runs in today's college game with bats, etc.
Yet a team that hit 30 on year hit 14 just in CWS.... makes you go hmmmmmmm

What board are these coming from. Most UT places I looked at last night took the beat down with grace. I'm sure there are many that wouldn't.

Just blind logic my friend, LSU didn't have there hitting going until Game 3 and did a admirable job battling to win Game 1, when people's teams lose they always find some assinine way to fatom why they lost.

I had some respect for the chess game old augie had played but that is total classlessness there. What a moron. I guess the other 5 runs we beat them by did nothing to cause them to lose.
I guess they will just have to build another enrty way into the bathroom so they can hold the door open with the 2nd place loser trophy.

Seriously? What game were they watching. Even the wife said she was getting sick to her stomach listening to that old bastard tell Orel and Robin how amazing Texas was. "They never give up" "They only had 19% of their runs in regular season from HR but 568.30% of them in the CWS"

Well if you look at it, they were in it till Schimpf/Dean got hit then Ochinko had the basehit to score 2 runs.
