As an LSU grad and longstanding financial supporter, I'm reaching out to you in hopes that strong consideration will be given to making a change in LSU's athletic leadership. MR Alleva has simply fallen short of the expectations in striving for and achieving excellence.

It appears that the tasks as LSU's athletic director have surpassed his competencies. The most recent hiring process of the football coach, which has now risen to a national embarrassment, further underscores my sentiment - and the sentiments of thousands of LSU supporters.

In fact the contract "buyout" for MR Orgeron is an example of MR Alleva's failed fiduciary responsibility to LSU. How in any way was the "buyout" aligned with the best interests of LSU?

I believe new and fresh leadership would be a positive step in protecting LSU's strong brand not just in athletics, but for the university as a whole. As Mark Emmert correctly stated while LSU's chancellor, "athletics can be and is the window for many to the full university."

Thank you for your service to LSU.

Dear BOS Members,

While your at it, please fire yourselves for running off the most successful coach in LSU history only to replace him with one of the least successful in SEC history.

None of you are qualified to run our athletic program.

K? Thanks.

I think it would serve the message well to include more than one example of how he is incompetent... although I absolutely agree he is.

I was actually thinking about scripting a letter last night, suggesting all us from tRant print it out and snail mail them to the powers that be. While it's likely they would end up in the trash, I find it hard to believe that anyone is reading emails from us either.

PS - And a Special offer of gratitude to your leader, Mr Ballard, an outstanding Tulane Alum, for his vision and foresight in recommending and hiring Orgeron ................

I hope they "get" this because if things don't shape up quickly, they are in deep trouble....financial and otherwise.

They probably have assistants to go through that and have just told them to trash it.

If you don’t think Miles should’ve been let go you’re just a dumb as the people who wanted O hired.

They get it, but until you start donating 5 figures annually to TAF and you give to the endowment, they would not even step on the brake to keep from running over you....figuratively , of course.

Thanks for sharing. I think it is important to share concerns especially from alumni.

I agree with your sentiments.

“ thank you for your service to LSU “

I know you were trying to be polite and civil, but I believe the board has approved everything that Joe has done. I would have probably said something like thank you for your time, but overall, I thought you did real good job.

Nice Email; they will see all the emails; actual letters to their job locations should be flooding in; I sent mine TO EVERY BOARD PERSON 2 weeks after O hired, complete with a history of Joe Alleva at Duke, his hires, the scandals, etc. Eds actual statements showing , admitting, he had no idea how to coach a team, even BEFORE he took the job, which he, of course, continues to do. ED O, ALLEVA, are a NATIONAL DISGRACE--- O should be fired for CAUSE, because he is an Idiot.
