My 11 Year Old Son - The Shamer of Fair Weather Fans

My son, 11 years old, is a die-hard fan. We don't make it to the games too often, but we were there yesterday.
When LSU failed to convert the 4th down, a whole bunch of people in our section get up and start to leave. My son is yelling at them, "Hey - where are you going. This isn't over yet." He does this to for the next 2-3 minutes as they all file out.
The guys in front of me are amused by this and turn around to smile and acknowledge his passion. When ARK downs the punt at the 1, they turn around and ask his permission to leave now and he of course tells them "No, Jennings has got this! Just watch!"
A few minutes later when Jennings throws the bomb for the winning TD, my son is giving high fives to everyone around, saying "I told you - I told you". The guys in front are amazed and thank him for not letting them leave early.
TL DR version - my boy shames everyone within ear shot who wanted to leave early and calls the 99 yard Jennings drive for the win. Super CSB!
Anyone who was in Section 405 knows who he is.

I hope they had a miserable drive home for missing an epic finish.

Those people were just trying to beat Stud to the buffet line.

I can't understand people who leave games early unless you're literally getting blown out in the 4th and it's mathematically impossible to win..

Seriously, I'm proud you aren't raising your son to be a bitch.....Let me know when he has a screen name so I can ask him if he ever played fb before and call him a rantard!
Feel proud good buddy!

Too young to be jaded. Don't worry though CLM contract extension will help.

Nice job. You raised him right. That attitude will serve him well in life.

I was in 405. Row 17.
Didn't hear your son though.
I was the guy that told Jennings to run.
He did. And we won.

That's awesome.
A day that kid will remember for the rest of his life.

Good parenting in your part. You never give up.

We were in row 35 at the top. He's only 11 and was getting pretty hoarse by the end of the game.
I'm pretty sure my son told him to run right before you did!

I used to do this when I was that age through high school.
My dad has had season tickets since Hallman, so I got good at ridiculing the "traffic beaters." It's kinda sad when a kid has to get the section cheering, stop them from booing an individual player(Jamie Howard), or leaving early. Of course, the fans are much more fair-weather than they were then. If you went to a game in the early to mid 90's you had to be a true fan.

There's a kid like this a couple rows down from my seats. Every game he stands, sings every cheer, etc. I have seen him crying in loss and victory. Dude is into it.

But, but, it doesn't matter, they gave the money to do whatever they want with their seats, so nobody should be upset with them blah blah blah.
Glad your son made a great lasting impression.
