Muschamp is a very good DC. Are you going to let his first year at Auburn with shitty talent and Gus' offense as your example?

His tenure at Texas and Auburn.
Yeah, I wasn't that impressed with his time at Texas either.

But you don't go from the HC at Florida to a journeyman DC. He'll want to be a head coach again soon. He'd only be at LSU a year or two. I wouldn't hate the hire, but he wouldn't be my 1st choice.

IMO, precisely the opposite. Because of the FLA HC disaster and him being at Auburn for one year...he wont be hired as an HC anytime soon. In fact, i think he will be at his next stop 3 or 4 years. It will take that long to re prove himself.

And his tenure at LSU and Florida say he's a very good defensive minded coach.

Despite what some people think, Muschamp is a good DC.

Ppl look at his time in UF, that defense was good before he got there. Plus he had Dan Quinn who is now an NFL HC.

And??? Our defense was good before the co-coordinator debacle and then it wasn't. It was good before Steele and then it wasn't.

I'll never understand the hate for BDP.

Then you have reached a new level of blind stupidity.

Just looked up his defense at Florida and I have to say it was very impressive.

And did he have the same players for all 4 years at UF? No he didn't. He recruits and develop defensive players very well and knows what he's doing on D Xs and Os wise. He's a good DC.

I don't think we could possibly get him here, but if we could, I doubt there would be many people upset with the hire.
Muschamp is obviously > Steele.
With the right head coach (and tranquilizers) I would prefer Pelini.
