C. I'm glad that he left. Let Les, Cam, and Peveto right the ship together. Or not.
Surely Les has another friend in the mold of Cam and Peveto that he trusts with the defense.

Somewhere between B and C. Was closer to B, but after thinking about just how bad he screwed us with the timing of this and the potential replacements available, probably C.

Their biggest issue isn't coordination on defense.

It's talent, depth, and their own offense's lack of ball control.

Chavis is a dumbass. A rich dumbass though.

I will say this, he has nowhere to go but up from their present situation. Lol

C. I don't think he will repeat his success with A&M. Past his prime IMO

Torn between B/C - last year's defense, two last minute losses to Alabama at home, yesterday's defensive showing in Nashville ...

B.

Don't get me wrong, he's among the best in the business but there are other damn strong DC's out there too and the program is a strong brand that can attract a strong candidate.

Plus, at his age his future at LSU (or at A&M for that matter) is probably not terribly long anyway.

I'll miss him but fortunately he has helped put LSU in a place to hire a good replacement. And that's an accomplishment all by itself.

C. I liked him but the losses to Bama in 12 and 14 were too much to stomach.

B. He has shown the lack of ability to adjust to the zone read quarterback. Great with the more traditional drop back passer. We need someone that can counter Kiffin and Sumlin's fast offense.

This is over due in my opinion. So many facets about him and his coaching leave a lot to be desired. Pendergast/Pruitt + Orgeron would be a beyond grand slam hire. A major, major upgrade.
