She didn't seem upset or bothered by how poorly we played against a very good team. I was watching her and got the feeling that inside her head - this is what she wanted. A wake-up call for ladies that just saw their new facilities and will get rings this weekend! She didn't seem upset and let them play against a team that wanted this win more than we did! I would have loved a win - but my guess is that Kim won't let them forget this game and how it felt to get their asses kicked!

Spot on! You can play with that level of energy, effort, and execution and lose...or you can prepare like a championship-level program and execute during games to get wins. Your call ladies.

Looked to me like Colorado played team ball while LSU looked like everyone was out for themselves.

AS I have said before, better to lose the first game than the last game.

It absolutely felt like they wanted this win badly. 00 played like her hair was on fire while we kept throwing sloppy pass after sloppy pass. And I agree. Kim seemed unbothered. Its a great opportunity for a lesson.

When you're the defending National Champion, this is the effort you're going to get every single night. Good to take a loss and understand the effort it's going to take to be successful this year.

I’ve been saying the same thing. She knows what’s she’s doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost 10-15 more if needed.

LSU played like who they are, a team that hasn't been together enough to have developed an offensive identity. As the season goes on, they'll be a team that dumps it inside to Reese and everyone will get shots off teams trying to double her. Right now, the fact that everyone can score and all but HVL can create their own shot, it's causing hesitation. HVL needs to abandon the idea of running point. Unfortunately, that means more of Poole but LSU need HVL to be a scorer and that comes from her spotting up. HVL looks out of rhythm playing PG. Flaun"jae needs to come off the bench as well. Williams is a dawg and will eventually take over this team as the leader. As Morrow settles into the offense, this team will be very good. It'll take some time because its 1 thing to add players, it's entirely different to add players that can all score. Everybody is waiting for the "someone else" to take the lead role in an effort to not look selfish. Williams is a freshman and doesn't want to look as if she's trying too hard to show she's good. Morrow doesn't want to like a player that comes here and is playing like she's the leader and this her team. HVL wants to play pg but looks uncomfortable. She didn't create her own shot at Louisville so I have no idea why she wants to be in charge of running the offense. Reese has absolutely no post moves outside of "throw it up and hope for a foul or a quick put-back.

Before we even mention how the player that played the hardest on defense was HVL...and that's sad. She'll struggle all season with playing defense, she's a liability in that role. Del Rosario should've been subbed in earlier for rebounding purposes. I think Mulkey isn't worried about losing tat game and will use it to her advantage.

I mean, let’s be real. It’s the first game of a very long season. We all overreacted because it didn’t go how we as fans wanted it to, but at the end of the day, there are still positive ways to look at the outcome from last night

In her post game interview she said this Wednesday at film session the team will have a come to Jesus meeting

She also said that she has players who she thought were dogs but she guess she was wrong about them

Some feelings are about to be hurt on this team.
