Most talented LSU team in history?

Way too early to assess, but it will be real interesting to compare this team in terms of NFL quality talent to our recent National championship teams. As excited as I am about this team, it will be hard to stack up against the 2003 team in terms of talent that progressed to the NFL.
Devery Henderson - WR, Saints, still playing, starts
Andrew Whitworth - LT, Bengals, still playing, starts
Nate Livings - OG, Cowboys, still playing, starts
Ben Wilkerson - C, played for 2 years, retired with bad knee
Stephen Peterman - OG, Bills, still playing, starts
(by the way, 4 Of 5 on OL in the NFL...best ever IMO.)
Michael Clatyton - WR, Buccaneers, recently cut
Skyler Green - WR and Returner, Cowboys, played 1-2 years
Matt Mauck - QB, broncos, later Titans, 3 years, now a Dentist
Justin Vincent - RB, Free agent, but not sure he ever made a team
Joseph Addai - RB, Colts and Patriots, still playing...IR?
Marcus Spears- DE, Cowboys, still playing, started for 7 years
Kyle Williams -DT, Bills, still playing, starting
Chad Lavalais - DT, Falcons, played 2 years
Marquise Hill - DE, team?, tragically killed in lake accident after playing 3 years.
( all 4 DL played in the NFL...unheard of, but may be matched with this years team!)
Eric Alexander - LB, Patriots, 2-3 years in NFL
Lionel Turner - LB, drafted late, but not sure if he ever made the team?
Cameron Vaughn - LB, unrestricted free agent, not sure he ever made a team?
Corey Webster, CB, Giants, still playing, starts
Jack Hunt - SS, free agent, not sure if he ever made a team
Laron Landry - FS, Redskins and Jets, still playing, starts
Travis Daniels - CB, multiple teams, still playing
Donnie Jones - Punter, Rams and Texans, still playing, starts.
To put to in perspective, every single starter (consider Addai and Vincent as co-starters at RB) on this 2003 BCS championship team played in the NFL except for...
Rodney Reed - RT
David Jones - TE, though he may have been drafted...not sure
Eric Edwards -TE, co-starter with Jones, not sure if drafted or made a team
Kevin Steltz - FB
Chris Jackson - PK, and as great a kicker we ever had.
Atleast 11 of these 22 NFL players not only made teams , but start now(even after 8 years later) or started majority of their NFL careers.
Looking back, it gives cause for one to really appreciate the true GREATNESS of that 2003 BCS Campionship Team. If we WIN another BCS Championship in 2012, it will be interesting to see how this team will ultimately stack up in comparing NFL quality talent. My sense is better than the 2007 team, but falling slightly short to the 2003 team.
Any projections?

That 2003 team was incredible, especially on the defensive side of the ball.

That was a great team. This one could be equal to it, IMO.

Faulk, hurst, la'el, lonergran, Sam, mingo, rasco, Edwards, Logan, freak, downs, ferguson, minter, Reid, Simon, loston, Landry, ware, beckham, mettenburger, ford, blue, copeland, clement, Collins, Vadal,
Will all likely play in the league, and I am not mentioning true freshmen like mills, Thompson, Louis, Alexander, hunter, hill etc
I could see every starter just about playing in the league.

If that happens, then the 2012 team wins the crown as best ever.

I agree that 2003 was great; I also think that the 1961 team was loaded. Numerous professional players came from it such as Stovall, Winston, Miller, etc.

I mean, I could see barrow too. You just never know. I think williford and lonergran are long shots, but they will definetly get a look I believe.
Loston will get looks purely on size alone. The way some of these guys are coached up is phenomenal.

A lot of guys were underdeveloped last year and wouldn't have sniffed the league if they came out. I could say the same thing about true and redshirt freshmen that are not starters.

This team will beat that team IMO. Not in first rounds picks though.
However I could see many first rounders on this team right now.
Faulk
Reid
Sam
Mingo
Mettenburger
La'el
Freak
Hurst
I wouldn't be surprised if Jarvis was drafted in the first either.

1961- Eight White Team members PLAYED in the pros!
(Stovall, Wendell Harris, Fred Miller, Moonie Winston, etc) You can look it up.
Nota Bene-- Football was played at LSU before the 21st Century!

I agree and I've always said 11-2 was disappointing for that roster of talent. That was a NC team.
