LSU, woof. As bad as you can imagine. The nation's highest paid staff and well below the trend line. Yes, they are 10 points above the national average, but they are paying an absurd amount of money for that type of production. If you wanted to guess who paid the most per S&P+ point this season, you're damn right it was LSU. $27,793 per point. That's more than double Ohio State, who fielded the nation's number one offense according to S&P+.

But Hey at least we played Alabama "to second" this year.

Championships don't matter as long as you are in the hunt.

So this dumb ranking system is based off just offense?

Dumb?
We have the highest paid staff in all of college football and haven't even been to the SEC in 3 years, now we're 4-4 in the SEC and playing on a Tuesday afternoon.

It isn't dumb, it's self-evident.

Because coaching contracts only exist in one-year intervals...

Well, sure, you have a great point. At LSU you can play to .500 ball in your conference at the highest paid staff in the country and get those contracts extended...

Where do I get that gig?

Contracts are being extended because they are expiring.. and whatever metric this system is using to calculate offensive efficiency is only one of about 20 indicators of overall on-field production for an entire football team.

I'm pretty sure the W-L record in the SEC the last three years is the only "metric" that means a thing. How's that looking for the highest paid staff in the country?

Which is exactly the problem...

These are the facts. It is gross under achievement. But, please don't mention anything like that on this board because championships do not matter. Eating grass does.

Highest paid assistant staff LSU pays its assistants $5.3 Mil. Bama pays theirs $5.2 Mil. Saban outearns Miles by approximately $2 Mil. I assume you can do basic math.

Frank Wilson makes $650K per year. Is he worth it?
Steve Kragthorpe makes $425 per year. Is he worth it?
Brent Grimes makes $377 per year. Is he worth it?
Adam Henry makes $300K per year. Is he worth it?
Steve Ensminger makes $310K per year. Is he worth it?

Keep in mind that every one of these coaches received a raise in pay following a year that we went undefeated in the regular season, won in Atlanta, and advanced to the BCSNG. Contract extensions are based on past performance.

Pretty sure the W-L record in the SEC the last three years is a TEAM accomplishment and not one that is the sole responsibility of the offense.

There are posters on here saying our 2013 offense wasnt good and we were too conservative. Never mind Mett attempting more passes than all but 5 sec qbs and being 260 yards away from setting the lsu season passing record.

No.1 Defense in the SEC. The Rant only plays Offense and only Passes the Ball.

The rant knows how to read the win/loss column. It's ashame some of you morons can't get the sunshine out of your eyes long enough to realize the only numbers that matter are showing a decline. 6-2,5-3 and 4-4. It's really that simple.

Already did that once. Don't see why you would do it again. Who do you think was responsible for making Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson one of the top rated passing efficiency offenses in 2011?
