Probably YA Tittle. Still revered almost 50 years after he retired from the NFL
"Tittle's seven-touchdown game on October 28, 1962, still stands as the all-time record with four other players (Sid Luckman, Adrian Burk, George Blanda and Joe Kapp)." LINK 1

Kevin Faulk for the 30-35 year olds

Devery or Spears for the 25-30

and Bowe , Hester, peterson,Hester and Kyle Williams for 15-25s

Mo, HB7, Reid, KH27, Mett and plenty of others will join that list SOON!

thanks for your insight - I believe the OP question was most loved tiger to play in the NFL - that's my choice.

"I believe the OP question was most loved tiger to play in the NFL - that's my choice."

--your point is well taken. I guess I saw the OP as most beloved NFL player who went to LSU, but from your take on it, your most beloved LSU player who played in NFL, at the time I also loved that Woodley was the youngest starting QB in a Superbowl. Sad story after he left the NFL.

Jimmy Taylor and Alan Faneca, too close to call

Hon Mention:

Steve Van Buren
YA Tittle
Henry Thomas
Dalton Hilliard
Eric Martin (I used to be a Saints, fan, too)
Alan Faneca
Kevin Faulk

Recent/Current players who could easily make this list someday:

Patrick Peterson
Glen Dorsey
Devery Henderson
Dwayne Bowe
Joseph Addai
Stevan Ridley
Tyrann Mathieu
Mo Claiborne

(Kenny Hilliard - too early to say this, but I'm saying it anyway - I don't want to jinx him like I did Michael Clayton)

Hokie Gajan. Maybe not the best player out of LSU to play in the NFL but definitely the most loved. Represented and still represents LSU with class.

Every time you see a list like this you never see the name Johnny Robinson. All American at LSU and a perennial all pro selection and LSU fans seem to forget this guy ever played here.

I believe he may have been the first tiger with an NC and super bowl ring.

Its a shame no one remembers.

Casanova...anyone that doesn't have him in their top 5 is less than 30 years old! He was the man!

Injuries kind of limited his NFL career - I list him as Top 3 LSU players of all time, all the time.

Also, Eddie Kennison had a decent pro career and seemed to represent us fairly well. He will always be one of the my favorite ever Tigers.
