Nighthawk, If these players really beleaved they had a good shot at a bcsnc do you think they would leave? Simon is not a high draft pick!

and your a dick. is it just the thing to do? to swallow your team pride and just ride this out and hope the best for next year. you know why players stay dummie? cause of frickin pride, cause of a solid program backed up by superior coaching, and a supportive fan base.

why so many why now? and where are these anwsers? yeah there tucked away in a locker room we cant walk into.

i hope we are aggresivelly recruiting to fill the gap.

Maybe it's just one of the most talented groups of juniors we have ever has who fear an injury could severely screw up their futures.

I think several should stay but ultimately understand why they are leaving even if I disagree

Its good for LSU's program to have juniors leave early, not bad or 'jumping ship" as people say. Putting dudes in the league is what is going to get the new dudes to want to come to LSU.

I blame Oklahoma State for every negative feeling that LSU fans have toward the program

most won't earn that especially getting picked after the 2nd round. After taxes and agents etc they will be living in the hundred thousands. Simon and Logan and maybe Reid should have stayed.

Or we had extremely talented recruits from what many believed was the #1 recruiting class in the country that year and they are as high in the draft as they ever will be so they decided to follow a dream of playing in the NFL.

Truth is Saban pitches to 4 and 5 stars that he can get them in and play them in their 1st yr and out in their 3rd, or playtime in their 2nd and out in their 3rd. The top playaz dont want to play 4 yrs, or even 3 if they can help it. Wear and tear and injury.

This is what all top coaches do these days. to have players leave early actually is a sign of success and improves recruitment of top 4 and 5 stars. Selfish coaches sometimes try to keep them unnecessarily too. Plus the $, big motivator when most r poor n young.

Think of it especially for DB's in NCAA, one or two of em break their necks and are paralyzed with a tube in their throat every year. See this yr, Devon Walker from Tulane. He is from Nola. Will probly die in 5 yrs like most who have that injury from complications due to being bedridden. Hopefully not.

Where is superman Christopher Reeve these days? Football players worst nightmare and can happen on any play offense or defense. Modern day gladiators. This is mainly why they pray b/f and after games, not as much about victory as it is to avoid this scenario. Plus, u ever seen an old man football player? Knees so shot he can barely walk and in constant pain. And now what we r finding out scientifically bout concussions and hits and the link with depression and suicide is big as well. We owe these men bigtime for our entertainment. My frickn heroes, all of em.
